DEATH TO PVP IN A CAN IN MASSIVE MULTIPLAYER GAMES!!
I prefer a more "open" battle field, but when you compare GW2s structured PvP too a BG found in most other games, the GW2 system is SO MUCH BETTER!!!
For one simple reason, everyone is completly EQUAL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
No more lame gear bonuses to help the unskilled player, in fact, imo its the unskilled players who are doing the complaining about this. Most players agree with the system.
One thing I didnt consider, at least for the BWE's, is that if I stick to WvW, I lose none of the "newness" when the game launched of the PVE experience, yet still get to familiarize myself with what classes will be kicking my butt.
Did you mean just for the BWE's? Because my answer would be different according to whether it is for BWE's or when game is fully launched.
Well, at least teh couple hundred who have voted in the polls think they hate structured pvp.
In all honesty, I think they hate it cause they tend to join it in PUGs against premades and get steamrolled by people talking on voice and using tactics. That probably wont change much here.
But WvWvW should be awesome.
