Good that they undid this censor but i pulled back my pre order for now, i have very little confidence in Frogster and the pegi 12+ will just cause other problems down the line. This game was not made for kids, either Bluehole will need to develope future content with this in mind or they will need to do double development on some content, either way it is messy.

But not only this, there is the timezone issue, GMT -8 in central us, when i start to play americans are at work or sleep, when i go to sleep americans start to play, not to mention events.
An East coast server is a good compromise, i have always 100+ ms ping there, also the GMT is -6, much better. I will purchase the game immediately if they open a East Coast server for us europeans that refuse to play with a failure company like Forgster and they shitty german laws and 12+ pegi to protect brainless kiddos.
Want to guess what my lowest ping to the EU servers is? 20 ms...I'll never get that playing on the NA servers not to mention playing with the majority around the time I'm home and during prime time...

Such a low age rating is a godsend for any publisher so they took it but now it's biting them in the arse.
PEGI should be re-rating TERA and within a month or so after launch it should have its new rating which then Frogster is allowed to use.
All i have to say is.... if the game im paying for does not look like the Original Korean version, then thank god i already cancelled my Tera. My money goes for the original design or stays in my pocket. To bad i dont live in korea, could have stayed playing a bit longer. Although that was not the main reason i cancelled, it also was part of my decision.

Probably you play from north Europe so u have better ping, but i live more far in the south, so my ping is high, not to mention my shitty country don't care about the old network infrastructure. Is because if i decide to go for En Masse my ping will be absurd high, unplayable in PvP.

I didnt like waiting for Frogster so I did some research myself and called Nicam. Nicam is the company that did the ratings for Pegi and are in the Netherlands. The friendly man gave me a lot of extra information. Lets sum it up eh?! :
- Frogster handed the game over to PEGI and they tested it thoroughly, giving it a 12+ rating.
- Frogster accepted that rating, publishers /always/ want a low rating, as low as possible.
- PEGI now assumes that Frogster did not show /all/ of the content, as they have received tons of complaints about this already.
- Nicam gave me an email adress that I could email with my complaint + motivation. Then a certain commitee would look at the complaint and possibly RE-RATE the game!
- Rerating the game is easier than Frogster claimed. TERA can still be launched as a pegi 12 game while Pegi is working on a rerating already. So in theory the launch can continue and within a few weeks the game gets a new rating.
- Re-rating does not take TOO long. Wont be possible before release but he said it can take to about a month. It requires different people from an EU organization to re-rate the game.
- Its unique that a publisher wants a higher rating than given, as usually they want lower ratings.
.... and most importantly.
- Frogster got a rating 12+, meaning the game was APPROVED in the state it was (before the cencorship). Therefore Frogster did not HAVE to censor anything!!!!
So, that were the answers I was given. I would STRONGLY urge the community to email Nicam as well, with a detailed explanation as to why you think the rating of pegi 12 is too /low/. But remember to be POLITE. Its not their fault, I have the impression that they honestly want to help us and are willing to RE-RATE the game. Only with a constructive email to them you can get them to take us seriously.

I just think making a game Pegi 12 is stupid, like its going to stop kids from buying the game when its Pegi 16. The only thing its doing right now is that the game is geting cencored because they want to sell the game to 12 year old kids that where going to buy the game even if it was 16 years and over. I can remember when GTA came out over here, when we went to the store to buy it (We where far under 18 at that time) they still sold the game to me and my friend. So again Pegi 12 is nog giving them more sales, its only making it harder on themself because now they have to cencor half the game. I like Tera Online a lot and its not going to stop me from playing the game, but making it Pegi 12 is just plain stupid!
