After looking at their website, Im not convinced. Its not that Im against indie developers, theres just nothing about it that piques my interest. Whats the gimmick here?

No gimmick.... The feature that gets me is that when you kill amonster, you get points for a slot machine. Its like gambling, grinding, and questing all at once. Plus there is world PvP, crafting, dungeons, guilds, large scale clan wars.... Its fun if you like that sort of thing.

It took me longet to create my character, than this game was installed on my pc. World terrain was stretched and dated, movement animation was terrible, music is horrendous, had to mute it while creating. Not for me.

    Ok, I tried it.

It's not for me at all. XTrap was installed which I should have guessed would have been, but let that be a warning to those who don't want it on their system. Gender locked, and very limited class's. Decent customization but nothing great. I played long enough that the very start turned me away. The first mobs you run into are "Topo's", they look like dancing groundhogs. Very annoying. I'm sure the game has more to offer but that right there stopped me from venturing further. It is nothing new or "Awesome" as the OP stated.

Death is nothing to us, since when we are, Death has not come, and when death has come, we are not.

Ok, I installed Seven Souls Online and come to find out it is the same exact game as Martial Empires. How do I know this? Because I've played Martial Empires before:

I've played this game and...Bah! Graphics are not bad but not great, music is terribad, animations are bad,the monsters are looking in a way that a 5 year braindead could do them better.

Personal opinion NO TROLLING.Everyone has hes tastes, and this is a NO NO for me.

For a f2p game its a decent effort.  This game is identical to Martial Empires. Not sure why the hell they decided to release it again under a differnet name but whatever.

The graphics are good for a free to play game but even so the graphics on a grand scale arent that great.  I looks like a shitty version of Age of Conan graphics.  And things look like they are made out of clay or something.  Its kind of hard to describe.  The skill animations are the best part of the game in my opinion they are lightning fast, and brutal looking. VERY cool. Although, I do have to mention that you loose control of your character while the animation is completing unlike games like WoW/Rift that allow you to continue to move during most melee skills. The UI is also very well doine and looks almost identical to Aion's.

But here is where it gets bad.  The quests are SO F'ing boring.  The monsters don't look good in the first few zones at all and thats where it really matter in my opinion.  All quests have pathing dots leading to the area which is both good for when your lost, but also mind numbing because it doesnt immerse you at all into the game world.  Also the game is very much f2p lottery (speaking of Martial Empires) gimics similar to Battle and War of the Immortals, which were famous for their insane design and ability to rape peoples wallet with their online shop and even has a lottery like slot machine reward system which is just rediculous.

The skill trees are pretty cool I will admit and allow you to make some cool combinations.

As for personal dislikes, the game is heavily asian themed people look like samurais and buildings look like stereotypical asian themed buildings.  I personnally hate that crap I hate asian culture themed games so if your like me this game will piss you off.  If you do like that however I really think you will like this game.  There is also no window fullscreen mode, which is super annoying I mean seriously who plays games w/o window fullscreen anymore?  Lastly I hate that you cant bind keys to mouse buttons.  SERIOUSLY all f2p games are like this WHY can't we bind shit to our mouse buttons!!!

Anyway I give it a 7.5/10 on a f2p game scale and a 6/10 on a MMO in general scale.

yes it is the same game. Seven souls is launching for NA audience after Gamigo Locked IP to europe only. I also played Martial Empires before the IP lock and the game was fine. I just dont like the lack of races and classes and 1 starting area for everyone. Only human race and only 4 classes dont cut it for me anymore.

I really enjoy this game.  Haven't said that in quite awhile.  Plenty of quests.  Right amount of challenge. Graphics good.  Don't have to mortgage the house to play.

Have you even played the game? Yes it is the same game as Martial Empires released with different name. The graphics aren't bad at all, and you can change the settings. The classes are few yes, but each class has three weapons. You can chose to play with just one weapon or become hybrid and play two.

But here's the main thing about this game, the combat system. The combat and skills are really good, exactly what I was looking for. With being able to use two weapons their is even more flexibility. The skills are really good, and animations of skills & combat are great too.

I would really recommend giving SSO a shot, try it for first 20 levels at least.
