I simply can't wait. My friends and I still talk about the "gold old days" of planetside. I can say it was some of the best gaming I've had. Unfortunately the player base eroded and it became a shell of it's former self.
The game looked so-so for the first half of the video, but when they finally got out of the tanks and reavers and showed people running around I couldn't help but to gasp.
Looks amazing. I hope they can really grasp the fun parts of PS1 and give us a more polished and refined version in PS2.

I just hope that SOE can keep from screwin it up. It really sounds like they have learned a lot from creating the first one. Here is hoping they get it right.

I re-watched this video and tried to listen for this. I'm not quite in agreement with you, I can't feel that Matt talked too fast. There was one point though where it got a little bit messy, but that was thanks to the loud infantry action background noise rather than his speed of talking.
As far as Matt himself goes, he's probably my favorite public speaker in the gameindustry right now. He knows what he's talking about, not just with PS2 but with the original PS as well, which is something I personally value quite a bit.
And yes, the game looks amazing. It's my most anticipated game of 2012, and with the amazing games that'll see the light of day this year that statement says a lot.

This game is THE game I've been waiting for since the original PlanetSide. I literally can't wait, and the game is looking so good already! I haven't been this excited since... well.

dude, this kind of games need to be f2p for thousands of players to play it, it it's a subs base, i dont think there will be enough player to fill the world like crazy
Don't mind him, he's one of those who looks at the business model instead of the actual product itself. It usually takes a lot of time and effort to open their eyes.
Actually I have yet to find a f2p that doesn't have a cash shop and I am against cash shops in games. I also prefer subs to f2p. This is my preference, you have yours and I did not try to "open your eyes" to accept mine. Enjoy your f2p cash shop games. I don't like them.
In the last few months there have been plenty of Planetside 2 developer videos talking about the game. There will be a sub option, and the cash shop is not a pay to win, it's cosmetic! If you open your eye's and look you wouldn't be here sounding off like a arrogant ignorant person. As a PS1 player from the start one of the main things that came up when the game was a couple years old was that it needed to be F2P to get the numbers back. You have no idea if you're judging PS2 on the bases of stereotyping the phrase “f2p” It's all about the team work to win, cash shop is to make you look good whilst doing it.

He could have AP ammo, which makes it possible to take on vehicles with an AR. It's not the best way, but you can do some damage to them.
