I think more content and stuff to do will be exciting for me to experience. my concern is that if they truly want to return to the adventure vanilla had then restore talents back to BC talents. plus so many other thing's that could have been done as far as lore. I think monk will be a great fun to play.
here are my issues with this expansion.
1. Talent nerf to stop cookie cutter builds in truth, removes the ability to make a character that fits your playstyle. zero options.
2. Pandarians are a small part of warcraft lore. so many other options for example: naga/orgres/nerubians/dragokin with the ability to shapeshift to the race they want to think onixya being lady prestor.
3. PVP needs to be rebuilt from the ground up to work hand in hand with PVE. gear separation creates separate communitys on the same server.
4. Guild leveling is extremly hard for a 3-5 person guild to be competive with the bigger guilds who offer more perks.
5. Again were is the other hero race? oh he wont ever come even though they promised becuase they now use boosting your level as a way to get you to re-sub again. demon hunter anyone?
6. 8 years agao they promised housing. they even had an instance for it in SW. can guild halls get a wink/nod?
7. Whats the point of this expansion again? did the titans return and sargeras is back after kiljaden got pwned? you do know that sargeras is so powerful he burn's the air on any world in a 100 mile radius. we need to tie up the burning legion they still exist and when you had your ass kicked hard in the 1st xpac you wanna go and oversee the worlds destruction this time.
after the sundering of deepholm should the old gods be running amock now?
8. How about we get a barber shop feature to add more details and get rid of the silly generic looks we have had for 8 years? what if i wanted to look like the factions leader? they don't look like retarts? why does the horde have hump back? why do humans look like steroid abusers? why do gnomes not have a city yet? why don't blood elfs look like the guards in silvermoon and not sideways attacking metrosexuals?
why are hunters now tied to energy? why can't they tame all beast? even all the dino's in ungoro crater? why are hunters loosing the ability to pick up a sword and swing it? where are dual pistols then?
why do druids who have shape shifting as a class features only get a buff for tree form with a cool-down?
How come illidian is dead and not at some point returned to life? why don't they give blue goats real legs and loose the tail? were is the world of dreadsteeds and why can we see azeroth from from black temple but need a gate to travel there?
So mnay thing's unfinsished for a xpac that is second to the last real one and after we get patches and updates. they needed to do more then whats planned but i will still play.
You cant fail with wow in any aspect. I think this expansion will be the best one and wow will survive as top dog for more years. You always go back to wow becouse it is alpha and omega of mmorpg
Used to be a true statement. Not so much anymore. I quit WoW duing LK. Debated on getting Cata. Finally 6 mo into Cata, I broke down and tried it, since I wanted to see all the new content.
I leveld a new Enh Shaman, My mistake was using BoA gear and dungeon leveling. Sure it worked great through 80. But at Cata content, My BoA gear did not meet the requirements forme to group for standard dungeons. at 1st I was just a little annoyed, but OK, I'll just do some quests, get some greens and resume. Only the full replacement gear was not so fast in comming. I was like 82.5-Exactly half way through Cata leveling and still coulnd't group.............FAIL
Quit Cata. Never hit 85....Never looked back.
Thing is. Several million players also did the same. (quit and never looked back) And what is surprising is that 2-3 million players who left cata would make an impact in other games if that's where they went. And aside from TOR's claim to 1.7 Mil, where is everyone else?
I doubt they are waiting for Kung Fu Panda.
LOL, on a side note, there are already Guilds in WoW taking the name Furious Five.
The female panda is ugly, hope they change it soon. They can in fact just remove female panda in this game ....
so I guess the release date will be end of next year?
Should be end of 2012 if they follow their expansion pack schedule.

Pandarens aside (they are growing on me tbh), I am looking more forward to the next expansion than the previous two. Lets hope they pitch everything right from the bat this time!
WoW becoming World of Disney/Pixar/Dreamworks... ?
Haha, you guys are way too old for this game now...
If you're implying that Blizzard is copying Kung Fu Panda, perhaps you didn't know that Pandarens existed in Warcraft lore since Warcraft 3 from 2002. Perhaps Dreamworks copied Blizzard, eh?
They were a joke back then though.
Uhm yeah, they were a joke and not a part of the lore, people only WANTED them to be part of the lore of the original game. Saying they were part of the lore is like saying that the Cow level on D2 was part of the lore. So i suppose you want a cow level in D3 huh and will claim that's because Diablo himself called up all the powers of milky hell to take over the world? hmm Jonrd?
I originally told my wife that this was the first wow xpac that I refused to buy. This was mainly due to the pokemon type game they added, and it was a knee-jerk reaction. Now, the more I read about the expansion the more I find to like about it. Especially since they upped the zones from 5 to 7 in order to give more leveling choices. I wish Rift would have done something similar rather than playing through the exact same zones everytime you roll a new character. This was also what i liked the least about WoTLK and Cata; only the lowest level zones for those had more than one zone the rest was very linear, it was more open in BC and there were lots of options in vanilla. So hopefully we will have more options in leveling thanks to the additional zones they are adding. Now it looks as though I'll be buying it after all.
Imagine the tears and rage when some hormone ridden "leet" teenager gets owned over and over by a female carebear wearing some pink dress and having that singing flower pet out. Priceless. Absolutely priceless.
I'm a big ol' fluffy carewolf. Be afraid. Be very afraid.

Actually there is a secret cow level in D3 not unlike D2. ;-)
Because flying a Minmatar ship is like going down a flight of stairs on an office chair while firing an Uzi.

Might almost be worth the cost just to see it.
I admit I'm a tad impressed that Blizzard realizes players might want their own space to craft and even farm without having to worry about PwnsTehNoob showing up to gank them fifteen times an hour.
Monk sounds like a fun class to play, one WoW players have asked for in the past.
Not so sure about the whole pet system.
The female panda looks a hell of a lot better than the female worgen ever did. At least it looks a little like a panda and not some mutant corset wearing furry.
But overall, too little too late for me. My sites are set on GW2 and TSW, and if both of those disappoint, I can't see myself paying for any more MMOs at all. I never bought Cata, either I sure can't see myself throwing down the money for Cata and MoP, not for a game I never thought was that great in the first place.
I am convinced there is only one way to eliminate these grave evils, namely through the establishment of a socialist economy, accompanied by an educational system which would be oriented toward social goals.
I like the idea of being Pandaren. I always picked Pandaren Brewmaster in WC3. My only problem with the expansion is two fold. First the Monk class...They got it all wrong...They should've called it the Brewmaster, and give them a staff to whack things with. Totally miss the mark here. Second it's a WoW expansion. Those artifacts and epics you work so hard for will be totally useless when you finish your first quest to get an "uncommon" or green item.
The small guy from Tera (I think?!) Is way better in style imo. And Perfect World dont pretend to be top MMO or have the biggest player base for years.

The secret cow level is funny. Especially when bunch of cows attack you and "Moo, moo MOO, moo, MoOo its way" its brilliant.

Sure, why not? If it's fun. You guys are all so g*dd***ed serious. The ultimate goal of any game is to have fun. Whether it's by [WINNING!], exploring, goofing off with a panda character, or having poke-battles with pets. The onus is on Blizzard to pull it off, of course, but if they do and it's fun, all this complaining is just a lot of sound and fury signifying nothing.

WTF! Can't be more pathetic then that...gosh
Panda are just plain ridiculous, i'll never come back WOW ever.
Actually there is....
Reminds me of a re skinned dwarf female model.
He who keeps his cool best wins.
It could still be worse. (Perfect World?)
I think i have just out grown this game.Any one over the age of 25 would be to old for this now.WOW was good back in the day time to move guys.

Awww love those carebears, I mean Panda chick's.

So excited for MOP will inject some fun into an otherwise very serious genre.

Female pandaren is going to be awesome... in PvP.

All I've gotten out of the info for MoP so far is:
Kung Fu Pandas
Pokemon
Farmville
I think all of those things are way past their prime to copy. Who knows though? It may turn out to be fun.
