i know there will be guild houses.  but woulden't be neat if you could have your very own apartment in one of the biggest cities?P

It is not something simple and easily thrown in, many games have wanted to do it but just can't, it requires tons of space/organization and would take a very long time to implement I would assume.

As much as I would like it, I do not expect it to make it's way into this game, well atleast not in the next year.

It would be a nice addition and I'd be surprised if it wasn't introduced by this time next year. If you look at a map of Velika there are areas on the outer rim of the city I believe are for player housing.

North and circling counter clockwise are six small courtyards and two big ones that have many doors attached to them but no other reason for being there. No npcs around and some of the doors and surrounding stonework are different that looked like player vs. guild hall entrances.

All speculation on my part of course.

Just not worth my time anymore.

if there is player housing they would be a instance, maybe like 10 people can live on a "street" and you can pick like varation of the "street" but with amount of player its going to be instanced, there simply isn't enough room for that many player house.

Oh yeah, what I was looking at screamed instance housing. You might get variation on which courtyard your house is in but that could also be for lag reasons.

if they add player housing they have to add mini games stuff in, i mean come on poker table, pool, stuff like that makes a house worth going in to. I mean decorating is fun but if you can't use anything it becomes old really quick = Also i think they should pull this from puzzle pirate, everyone gets basical housing, but if you want larget house you have to pay like a weekly fee to keep it up. And lot of fun stuff to put in them.

While they aren't like game breaking important, i do feel this help retain players. I mean for years of playing mmorpg i noticed people get tired of the PvP or PvE and simply want to just hang out, but many game lack those places. Like for maplestory everyone went to maya's house or that marriage town. but having player housing is just other thing for people to be on the game but not have to do the core part of the game and just goof around to take a break with mini games and socilizing. I mean you can even like pay to host party or something, be fun stuff to just chill =X This would draw huge amount of casual gamer as well coz they can get on the game to socialize instead of having to do something that takes lot of time. O definally add a casino some where along the line =X

If you go down any of the back alleys all through Velika there are paths that lead to dead ends with paths branching off on both ends leading to groups of 3-4 houses/building things with doorways.

That looks like potential guild/player hourse, not sure if they will ever be implemented.

No one can say housing in a City can't be done when it has been done by other games. Look at Final Fantasy MMO, they have in city housing and it is instanced. Look at the old SWG, they had Cities and player housing that was not instanced and you could literally plop your house down anywhere that is not occupied by another structure...now that was awesome housing. In fact, if other MMOs can do SWG housing, we all be much happier.

There are many simple ways to solve it and some more complicated, but games like LOTRO, EQ2 and even RoM have gotten it in.

I agree with OP, it isn't that much work for a feature many people love, Let's hope they add it. :)

Player housing is coming, ala EQ2. Not with release, but some time later.

Some areas in the main cities are already 'reserved' for this.

    Playing: EVE, TERA, BDO
Played (more than 1 month): WoW, GW2, L2, WAR, AoC, DnL, GW, LotRO, EQ2, TOR, CoH, STO, TSW
Tried (trial, up to 1 month): EQ, UO, AO, EnB, TCoS, Fury, Ryzom, EU, DDO, TR, RF, CO, Aion, VG, DN, Vindictus
