alright.. so i read the little write up they put on this game.. and the suggested end game plans they have, now reading it makes the game sound interesting.. but im kinda torn on it.. as they say they took game elements from DFo and FE

which kind of worries me as both games did not meet the expectations of the players/gamer community with their intended game plans (not to say its bad but kinda worry some, with a "what if" scenario of them taking the elements that hurt both games at launch @_@)

while the game is interesting i kinda feel like im reading fallout... which isnt exactly bad.. but same time, if i want to play fallout ill play fallout kinda deal.. also kinda wondering what kind of game improvements they generated from UO and EVE @_@ as both games are polar opposites of each other..

all in all this game sounds kinda... iffy, has anyone seen any actual game play videos on it yet?? or knows of any?

~oh and the offical site link is broken it opens up to google when i click it~

(below is the mmorpg write up for the game)

Grimlands is a hybrid sandbox/questing post-apocalyptic MMORPG currently being developed by Drago Entertainment, and to be published by Gamigo. It will be reminiscent of games such as Darkfall and Fallen Earth, and use and improve on gameplay aspects of other popular MMORPGs, from Ultima Online to EVE Online.

Set in the aftermath of nuclear detonations, players will travel through wilderness and shanty town locations, hunting and being hunted by radioactive beasts, bandits, and outlaws. PvE and PvP combat will both be quality factors of gameplay, with enemy AI set a few notches higher than the usual MMORPG. Duel and arena fighting will also be available. Grimlands is also being set up to have customizable vehicles. Stay tuned for more details as they are released!

FEATURES

  • Atomic Wasteland | Finally, a new vision of the end of the world in MMORPG form.

  • Ultima Online-inspired Progression System | Allowing characters to become a jack-of-all-trades badass over time played.

  • Player-driven Economy | Similar to EVE Online, where players must create, sell, and buy the better quality items in game.

  • Smart Combat | Erratic shooting won’t cut it here; players will be to focus on taking down enemies with precision aiming if skillful enough.

  • Contested Lands | With just a few towns and valuable land remaining, occupying and defending these locations will be a large part of the game.

well im kinda worried about this company/game... for the last few days/2 weeks this game as been posted on mmorpg their "official" site link send you to a warning page about A-DB being hacked... on top of that this game is not listed at all on their official game portal

    https://en.gamigo.com/

you can only find it on their trailer page (and frankly i dont consider a trailer as a source for game info..)

kinda worrysome.. that there is zero info on this game.. not even a splash page saying its in the works :/

I am very skeptical about a Gamingo game, they all seem so cheap.  They dont make the game i know but still...

    more importantly

Why on earth do you have a nvidia 240 graphics card with an i7 processor....bottleneck is beyone an understatement.

well the site is finally "up" but its just a trailer not alot of info on the game, some games that look cheap can be pretty fun, so time will tell i guess.

As for my vid card.. it was part of the combo i bought almost 3yrs or so ago, its old but meh it still does the job. plus with evga's OC tools i can fix abit of the bottleneck. lol but pc parts is hardly what this thread is about HAHAHA some point ill buy a newer card

I received an invitation and I'm half way through downloading it. 5.2 GB RAR file on direct download of 2.5 MB speed. So far it sounds promising. Will be back with details.

Try not to scare ppl of and take a closer look at Gamigo's Official Website https://en.gamigo.com/

Grimlands is posted in their list of games with *Closed Beta* status and it has it's own webpage which is fully functional http://grimlands.gamigo.com/en/

thanks, my post that was quoted was from quite awhile ago now, iv looked at their portal page of the game, it sounds so so right now.. as it sounds kinda like A-A and FE mixed together (auto assault and fallen earth.. for people who dont know).

i havent as of yet bothered applying for a beta on it, as i have my CB/ob vip beta junk with brickforce im doing and waiting to maybe get in to salem.  so please do keep everyone and my self posted on what you find after you finish downloading the client.

if it  is worth the DL time i may jump on the beta as well and poke around.  i hope they deliver what they promise on it though, not sure how they have it setup mechanic wise (part of why im iffy joining up and downloading.. i dont really want a lobbyish style pvp game, i know its not but if they have like encounters where X total players can fight in an open world for a resource node.. that to me is a lobby)
