I don't have a personal pc at home. I'll have to sign up through one of the many thousands of internet gaming cafes/shops that litter the city in this super densley populated 3rd world country in the pacific. If I get an invite, I hope to download and access from a USB so I don't have to download the client  for each session. (Broadband is considerably slower here) ...Open to all regions of the world? *Crosses fingers*. Been anticipating this since inception.

Playing now: Cities: Skyline / Ori and the Blind Forest / Banished

  • GrunimGrunim Member UncommonPosts: 172

Waiting to see if they accept me.  I wonder if they are also looking at other factors besides system config such as player age and types of games they play.  Keeping my fingers crossed...

  • FalcomithFalcomith Member UncommonPosts: 830

Since I am at work, I cant really sign up just yet. But did they give and indication of when the beta will start for those selected?

  • VryheidVryheid Member UncommonPosts: 469

Easy enough sign-up. I figure my wide-screen laptop setup may be unusual enough that they might choose me as a tester. We'll see what happens though, I'm planning on buying the game regardless.

No one has gotten invited, yet.  Not from this series, anyway.  They're just trolling you.

Without directx 11 for XP this way of thinking can only go so far

How you running 8gb on Windows XP? it only supports 3gb I thought...

How long does it take for them to send the Confirmation Email? I just applied around 5-10 minutes ago, but still have nothing from ArenaNet in my Inbox/Spam.

YAY I'm all signed up but have to wait for my confirmation e-mail. I could only be so lucky if I actually get into a beta! I don't even care if it's one coming up or a later one, so long as I'm on the list and could be picked at any time WOoHOoo!!

64 Bit confirgurations can use more than 3GB, 32 Bit cannot use more than 3.25gb (vista/7 have a patch but its best to use 64 bit.)

I just signed up but havnt got an email yet. I doubt i will get picked as my hardware is quite high end and chances are they want to test it on lower end machines so they can optimise it. Of course there will be a full range but i would guess they are looking for unusal and low end hardware to test.
