We really need separate forums for every newly launched game. There can be the anti-<MMO> one and there can be the 'what general discussion should be' one. All the lamenting can happen together where each can find solace in like minded can't-move-on-ers leaving the rest of us to actually move forward and discuss meaningful and relevant topics.
btw the beloved (tits appeal) sucky Vindictus is a clear example of pay2win for pathetic pussy (meaning kittens for the younger ones) hungry losers
GW2 will follow the same scheme of GW1 (everyone wonders how they get money, seems no1 ever played GW1) : pay for aesthetic not else (if u think aesthetic is win the ur a loser)
my word, at last:
SOCIAL (fa/ctor underestimated in various games, most players are asocial by nature (not me and I look down on to them) if there arent components that encourage socialization the game will die sooner or later, after all what do you play a MMORPG for? showoff - meet friends - kill ppl - feel the reactions - no? Then go play some offline game because you are losing the point.)
While i completely agree that the new GW2 shop will have pets/mounts/cosmetics, i have to point out that the GW1 shop does have more in it then that, including abilities/skills which does make it a p2w shop. The new shop however will definitely NOT be Pay2Win so these whiners that are talking about this haven't really read ANYTHING on the subject.
And this is what i mean by that. Finally, someone's listening to the players, finally someone's eliminating the grind/global cooldown/gear treadmill, finally someone is not copy/pasting world of warcraft.
And when this releases i have a suspicion that i will be able to say, finally, someone actually launched a game that was 1: feature complete at launch that makes it an mmo 2: more stable then anything launched in history 3: buy2play and will utterly decimate every other title in sales in 2011 without the need for a worldly popular IP or the need for a sub.

Maybe.
Provocative.
Or if I may have two: Paradigm shift.
(At least, that's what I'm hoping for.)
Me? Short post? NEVER!
I know they're not Korean. The game just looks like it was made in Korea from the art style.

Awsomesauce!
In my darkest nightmare:
SPORE.
Hmm...watch a vid of L2 or Aion then watch a vid of GW2...yeah...I don't see the similarity, sorry.
I have the same feeling with Swtor. Have you seen how the Jedis and Sith walk hunched over? Pathetic.
hopeful
(in two words: cautiously optimistic)
