Howdy, Stranger!

It looks like you're new here. If you want to get involved, click one of these buttons!

Lies-Sub costs, equipment, bugs, service.

CRS are a bunch of liars.

Went to play this game and the price is $17.99 per month!!!!!!!   Unless you want to give them a whole years sub costs and you don't want to do that!!!

My friend told me that there are so many bugs and issues with the game it is a freaking mess and laughing stock.

DO NOT PAY THE MONEY TO PLAY THIS GAME!!!

They show new equipment on their website to trick you into supporting their dieing world.  The equipment isn't there.  They've nerfed everything and people are leaving in HUGE NUMBERS

Sux big time!  Their forums are filled with pizzd off people.  People leaving getting banned and fighting.  THere are more fights on the forums then in game.

My buddy just let his sub run out because CRS just shoeboxed the whole playing area.  Use to play a whole map of europe now they control the map and only fight in 2 towns.

Low population.  TERRIBLE HIGH SUB COSTS OF $17.99 PER MONTH!!!!!  CRS not caring what the players wanted.  Created false feedback to push this shoebox game onto its DRONE players (some have 2 accounts just to help the game survive and a third just roam the forums) and chasing people away in record numbers.

They elimated key units to make way for new equipment and the "americans"  they are not there.  Stuff is broke  bugs, floating tanks, upside down guns, capture issues, high command staff mad at crs and calling them idiots.

BAD INVESTMENT   STAY AWAY!!!

Its cheaper to buy a new XBOX and Play then play this crap hole game.!!!!

Although the OP is VERY "doomsday'ish" with his post he is overall correct.

I played WW2 Online for 5yrs as of december, however I was recently banned for "Suspected Hacking" because I had a spotter on an adjacent hill telling me where my rounds were landing from my 88 I had setup on the OTHER side of a hill into an enemy ArmyBase.

2hrs into our "suppression" operation and I get disconnected with a box that said "Banned: Hacking". Told my Commanding Officer in TS3 what just happaned (we told him about our spotting plan the day before), and 3 other people in our unit have been banned over the past month from random stupid crap like this. From what I'm told our entire 30man unit (which is a LARGE member count for WW2online nowadays) is leaving WW2online for Planetside2 as if the end of next week (granted PS2 isn't out yet, but they're going to take a break for now from gaming i think?).

WW2 Online is circling the drain due to ZERO anti-cheating measures so their GMs are forced to "guess" who is and who isn't cheating. GG Ww2online, you were fun while it lasted.

"Remove rank requirements for creating missions: an obvious move for a shrinking game"

     "Shrink the map"

You know a game is having problems when you have threads like that in the Trial Player support forums and no one (not even the mods) try to refute them.

I was a day one player, ran 3 accounts, played this game for 10+ years....Left yesterday due to complete breakdown of the game I used to know and play.  Its a shoe-box game now, huge bug count, very laggy, and frame rates have been halved,,,,oddly the better equipment you have the worse this game runs....its a bug....  not worth the money, with is high.

I don't recommend it, you can try it, but I told you so.

    Oh I tried it alright....

I played from day one till 2005 solid, and then started playing more and more sporadically as time went on.  Up until last year (ragdoll patch) i would subscribe for a month every 6 months or so just to keep up with any changes and see if I wanted to sub permanently again.  Infantry play never changed or improved so I gave up completely.

I knew they had connection problems back before christmas.  but I thought they had that sorted out, whats going on now?

Its confined to one city, battling for one city hour after hour day after day, with unlimited supplies...very laggy and buggy, frame rates are half what they used to be...hard core CTD's are frequent...ITs totally broken...  CRS are bunkered up andclosed down to rolling it back to when it was fun...

I thought they were running a special event right now? A break from the regular map.

Now would be a great time for either Stug or Motormouth to come in here and set us straight!

    S!

    hrica1 <BKB>  chimming in.

Indeed, this game should cost no more than $9.99 a month to play.

I bought this game at launch, I still have the big box!! (you know the one that promised everything that was not in the game lol)

BUT I have had so much fun with the game, but to pay $18 a month is just plain stupid and the rats don't listen.

    S!

hrica1 <BKB> retired until the game is afforable to play

Heh -  im not certainly going to lie like some posters in this thread.

The game is going through a bad spot and no mistake about it. But, its been there before so we just have to cross our fingers and hope they can pull the rabbit out of the hat again, don't we?

As for the drone players comment - you not going to link from where that came from, unless you wrote it of course?

I'd also  love to know what you think of players in DAOC with buffbots....they "drones" too? You'll be saying Axis players who have accounts for towing are drones next......

I personally have nothing against the game.  It's just not for me right now.  And I wish they could find a way to pack in the players again.  Maybe one day in the future it will.

Day 1 er here, and loved the game until they started taking out random cap, i mean for people with small clans it was great to get a bed and run across enemt lines and do a deep cap to make a spawn deep behind enemy lines and get things started. those random battles is what kept the game great because it had an "oh sh*t" element where if the axis were roflestomping us we could do that to turns things around. That and many other changes eventually killed the game. A great game it coulda been but i guess they went the other way and started conforming to the FPS style gameplay alot of people look for, instead of the wwii military simulator this game was suppose to be.

Ha!  That reminds me of the first mission I ever did.  It was week 2 and I was a member of 12HJ at the time.  We were doing a multiple town deep strike, like 4 towns deep.  I was driving a full opel going to the deepest target.  And by the time I arrived my opel was empty because everyone had ctded on the way there!  But man, we had some fun.  You could do practically anything back then.

Game has turned into a Shoebox-shooter now.

A good part of people didn´t like that - for example, there is a poll (26 players voted) 2 like the Event-campaign, for other 2 its the same as a "regular" map and 22 voted to get back to a full map.

The "official" responce is like:  .....there are some (few) who don´t like the event-campaign - if you don´t have fun, then you don´t have fun, but the majority like them .....

Not a single word how long does that "Boring Battles" will stay, not a single word when there will be a full scale campaign again.

Increased number - well of course; there are some new weapons (zooks and shreks) and maybe next phase semi-automatic rifles (maybe).  Its funny how much a few new weapons can do. Just wondering how huge the increase would/could be if there might have been a new set of tanks.  Do they really believe, that they can compete with other shoebox-shooters out there?

I would say, the devs should thank god for such a patient community. The game is holding lots of potential, but it seems it will be strangled to death. With each change they took out a part of variety of the game, it is becoming more specialised and is focussing on a smaller and smaller group of players. Instead of implementing more variety and try to get more players (seeking for different kinds of gameplay), they get rid of parts of their Pb because of restrictions and limitations.

Nowadays Inf will render at a maximum of roughly 700m, vehicles rendering distance ~ 2,6k. It was by far greater distance before (with a lot more players)

Vegetation is really "fps-hungry", performance drops from 80 fps down to 20 fps - just when zooming in at trees is not uncommon in this game. Before it was possible to run a second account for towing the own gun, but the frame rate dropped from ~ 50 down to a dia show with only 1 - 3 fps.

So recommended hardware is as high as a much better looking game, while the only "gain" during the last year was "eye-candies".

    LOL!

Yep - I remember a mission where we loaded up a truck with Sappers, took an ATG along and drove 20 minutes to a critical FB. No Ctding but we got there and we found out that the approach our driver had taken <coughs> was rather exposed to say the least after we cleared one of few final berms (no cover in game much that time) so we were roundly taken out by an ATG at 400ms - oh how we laughed :). Thank gawd for the banishment of the golf course!!!!!

So back on the truck, we go off again and we finally get the FB down - probably because the defender got bored tho of waiting for us which is a shame ;)

I don't really care if they live or die, I'm done with it.  I have no loyalty to a business, especially one thats gone down so far and raised their  monthly so high... I was playing 3 accounts, for 10 years, so anyone spitting in my direction can eat it as far as I am concerned.  As far as CTD's... yeah, they were bad, read the forums, maybe they have it fixed now.. I really don't care .

MY problem is what to replace it with,  any suggestions?

sounds to me like another gaming company planning on ending a game tons of ppl have put a huge number of hrs into playing... this cut and run tactic is complete bs and has been happening more and more frequently over the past couple of years...  Prime example = Project torque.  After 2years of steady success on Aeria, the development team that leased the rights to Aeria, decided they wanted more money (even tho they were doing  less work).  Aeria refused.  They thought prices in the cash shop were fine and werent willing to charge players more then ever before.  In response the development team started pulling some underhanded tricks to screw over the players... changing rules, rewards, ect...   Finally the lease was up, Aeria was willing to continue but the dev's said fuck off and decided to release it on their own under a new name (Heat Online).  All fine and dandy except for the fact that they screwed over every player that had ever spent money on the game to buy things like new cars or upgrades.... We lost everything only to be "graciously invited" to rejoin the game at its new home, and repurchase all the things we had already bought..

Greedy coorperate bs, take our money, screw us over, close the game then rename and reopen it, and tell us we need to spend more money for stuff we already paid for...

I don't think it's greed; I think it's just them not having as much business sense. They believe WWIIOL is a niche game (which to an extent they're right) and no matter how low the cost of the game is they'll never get high players. Personally, I think that's just not true and they could definitely pull in numbers without appealing to the CoD crowd.

But I can't comment on the new 'features' in game as I don't play anymore. I'd like to hope they're not trying to make this a shoebox game and it's just them delaying as they don't have the resources to fix whatever it is they broke. I mean when you think about it.. how many people are working on this game?

    Currently Playing:

    Nothing.

theres been problems from day 1, the game still looks and plays like a Closed beta game, i got 1 warning for blind firing morta HE rounds into a town and i was no where near a friendly unit or FRU and when i asked what rule i was breaking i was given a second warning...

while that happened on side channel there where players using the most vulgur words and really racist remarks towards each other which went on for about 40 more minutes before they decided to stop themselves

i played on and off for about 3 years, canceled my monthly subscription numerous times for so many different issues this game has, and the community can be total jerks also

Guys.....I've also played since 2001, and had unsubbed to play WoW - now I cambe back 2 weeks ago. I really like the game, In a couple of weeks I maybe had 1 or 2 crashes....which used to happen to WoW also. I've never had any problems with warnings, cheating, etc. So if you guys decided to unsub - that's your choice, but don't tell everyone the game sucks, because the fact remains: it is the only game in the world with this level of realism, this level of immersion, and this level of player cooperation between players, while PVPing.

So for me, it's still freaking awesome. Sorry.
