i tried demo and played it and tried it playing at a friend who bought it, honestly its almost same or familiar like Fable 3 , gameplay and most things are almost similar, so i dont think its much difference.
this whole site is getting really off topic....they even promoting alot of games that aint even mmorpg anymore......reckoning is a pure rpg (a good one imho) but it aint no damn MMORPG.

Also, many players who play mmo's play it because of the "rpg" part. So a solo rpg might be of interest.
Lastly this game is based on the mmo that they are making. So the tie in might also be of interest.

Just wait, buy it two weeks before they release the mmo version and all is good. By then the price will be reduced to $15 you will get a signed baseball, the game, a small peice of bloody anklewrap and a $13 pizza gift certificate to Papa Johns.

He finds it better than skyrim because for him, large open worlds can be paralyzing. I've heard other players say the same thing about Elder Scrolls games. So it pretty much comes down to a preference thing. My guess is that it's "different from skyrim" in many ways.
As far as the game goes, it's on its way so we'll see. My initial thought, which differs from the preview, is that I didn't like the combat precisely becuase it was this gamey "god fo war" style combat. Not that that can't be fun but that stuff always felt very arcade like to me which always seems gimmickey.

must admit i did see this one and wondered, but.. the more i read about it, the less there seemed to be, i really don't see this one comparing to Skyrim at all, it just looks like another 'churn' game, only a really expensive one. I could only see me buying it once it hit the platinum version kind of thing where they sell it cheap on steam for £5 or something.. for the moment though, i just don't have time to play a game with so little actual appeal.
I was stoked enough about this game I took the hour drive to pick it up at the Bellingham, Ma. Gamestop so that Curt Schillings and RA Salvatore would sign them. Ended up buying two copies both signed. 1 for PC and 1 for 360 :P
Wish Todd McFarlane and Ken Rolston were there to have signed it, but it was ok since they gave us a crap ton of free RedBull lol.
There is 1 problem I saw with this game so far.. the story, characters.. they are so incredibly boring. R.A.Salvatore must be overhyped imo... maybe it's better later on.
i think before buying this game, people should go watch the gameplay vids on youtube.. highly enlightening imo.. and another good reason not to buy (not at its current price at least!) if anything i would call this game 'retro' as the graphics etc, seem a bit 5 years ago at the very least.

I haven't read anything of his in recently but in years past Salvatore was an awesome writer. The story for the game however does start out a bit RPG generic but gets a bit better later on, nothing mind blowing though.

Its super expensive and HUGE rpg.
People payed 60$ for ME2 that has 15-20 hours of gameplay. This baby has over 200 hours of gameplay.
