What is your favorite character thus far in TOR.....

I would probably have to go with my 20 lvl Jedi Sentinal, although I have a female 11 lvl Trooper with the heal spec. Between Jennifer Hales 2nd coming of Shepard, and the rocket launcher attack that kicks ass, I gotta admit it is growing on me.

I hope the Trooper ends up with a Jedi tank companion, as that set up would simply rock.

So far, I've tried a Sith Juggernaut, a Sith Assassin, an Imperial Operative, and a Bounty Hunter that han't gotten high enough yet to count. Out of these, I think I'm enjoying the assassin the most. He's the toon that I've found the most balance with so far to enjoy PVP, PVE, and the class story. My Operative is higher level, but I'm not finding as much all around enjoyment with that class right now.

I'm rotating through four:  A lvl 20 sith marauder.  A lvl 17 merc, a lvl 14 inquisitor and a lvl 15 guardian.  I think my favorite so far is the Merc.

I can also roleplay the tower in a chess game and shout "is that a peasant at the horizon I see? I will smash it I will! Oh damn I broke one of my merlons!". -- maji

Well I have a lvl 26 sentinel which I'm now stuck on the class quest on tattooine, a lvl 16 commando which I'm finding the best so far, an 18 shadow, smuggler but he's too low to count, a 16 sorcerer which I'm disappointed with, a 12 jugger and my sniper and merc are both lvl 11, I might start again with my sorcerer and create a new one and go down the assassin path as they seem tank/DPS

Bounty hunter hands down the best class/character and storyline.

I played consular/sage to 30 and it was ehh.

Agent to 15 was quite fun.

But bounter hunter ? So fun, that skill which takes you up in the air ( barrage or air strike or something ) is rediculous fun. Definetly was my fav.

ALso tried sith inquisitor but i couldnt get over the first companion ... annoyed me to no end.

I'm a trooper through and through.

That said, we have M1-4X, which has to be the awesomest droid you've ever seen. Though combat-wise he's "meh", his fanatical love for the Republic is what makes me feel proud to be a trooper :).

<3 4X. Have to say, I kept him with me on my Trooper constantly through testing.

I'm reserving judgement on coolest droid til my agent gets SCORPIO though, I've heard she's pretty awesome too.

In testing I played lots of classes to varying levels, my favorites are Agent (playing live), BH, Trooper and Sorc. My Sorc was the first character I played in testing and I re-created her for live, same look, same name - was very attached to the character. Despite there being ten billion and fifty Sorcs on live, I'll still play her til I see the end of the story.

I love my operative more though, such a bag of tricks for both PvE and PvP (and I'm seeing plenty of open-world PvP on my server) and a kick-ass storyline.

As far as story goes -- I think Sith Warrior wins.  Darth Baras is one of the best voice-acted characters I've ever seen in a game.  I don't really like the character but I keep playing him because Baras is awesome.

Dude is as round as Porky Pig.

I hope we get a chance to feed him a lightsabre sandwich. Will be a while to find out though, as my Sith Warrior is like 15 or 16 lvl.

I'd say my Level 33 Human Scoundrel, easy. I just finished her first major arc and unlocked the Legacy system with her, and I can't wait to see where things go from here.

At the moment, I'm angsting over a surname for her, because it has to fit ALL my characters across the board. Even if something seems cool for her, it wouldn't automatically fit the Mirialan Consular and the Twi'lek Jedi Knight I've also got going. Decisions, decisions...

M1-4X = the Captain America of the Republic. He's a rah-rah fanboy if I've ever seen one, but he's so damn entertaining about it. Haha.

Let's see, played around on a gunslinger, juggernaut, a few minor (and pre-launch) forays into other builds.

Think I like the Sith Warrior line (in terms of just story) the best.  'Cept I'm not a huge Vette fan.  Still, she's better than the idiot Wookie.

Baaaad AI on some of these companions.

^This.  The Bounty Hunter, apart from just having awesome abilities, has an amazing story line.  And I LOVE Mako.  She's a doll.

I also enjoyed the Trooper too.  I'm playing a Trooper Assault Specialist and Bounty Hunter Advanced Prototype.  Lots of fun.

Leveled 8 characters into their mid 30s to make sure I've played every class type as they're just mirrored on each side.

I find the non force classes to be so well balanced, really effective and they do not need to be changed as of yet. I don't think we'll see how truely balanced the classes are until everything settles down, however for now they're all great.

The Force classes however are a different story because the Sage/Sorc just have so much utility at an early level that they feel OP. I'm not sure how this levels out at the end game but I feel like they need their force run taken away from them to balance them. The Assassin/Shadow seems fine to me, people always whine about stealth classes but as they cannot heal and have little health I think they're fine and Force Run makes sense for them.

The Warrior classes feel so Under powered early on because they have little to no CC or utility. They get better later on but they still feel so underwhelming and I don't think their surviability or damage is quite up to par with the rest. A good player can be effective with the class but it is much harder to be than all the others and that is why they need a little something extra.

Also if you're under level 50 and have been killed by a level 50, you cannot count that. Expertise gives level 50s such a big advantage that you have to be a real bad player to lose against a lower level player.
