I play on Naia and I hope it will go free to ply with the sub option. That would be best for me. More new players yay.

I loved this game so much when it launched, but it has changed so much I don't think I'll come back even if it's FTP

I knew it will go F2P before GoD since in the first quarter on a conferice call, they were saying it will go F2P but not yet, because they needed to update and prepare the game for F2P. Same here, GoD killed it for me.
I will have to add this to my game list when it goes to a freemium model. I have a lot of good memories of Lineage 2. I absolutely love it when a company offers a good hybrid model. I feel it works the best and offers the most flexibility.
How exactly did GoD killed the game for you? Because of so many changes? Games evolve, MMO's evolve and if you are a nostalgic, then you should not play MMO's
Anyway , now that it will be F2P , you can try it for free and I am pretty sure you will enjoy GoD

No I will not, the merger of the classes is what broke the deal. I don't think it qualifies as evolution.
I am pretty sure that the line "Play it first" it fits right now! True, alot of changes have been made to the classes, but we should first see how things work

I'm sure their new skills are fine and dandy, but it's a matter of class diversity and identity.
So it seems that EU servers which are about to open end of this month from Innova will be similar to their Russian server which is very cool, I dont mind playing for the premium account or the cash shop, L2 was about real money way before this and it still survived, their "frost" system as well is much better than gameguard it wont stop it completely but it will stop a lot more and I can see ppl getting banned a lot more often.
One thing I hope they dont do is allow ppl to transfer from NA to EU that would be a deal breaker for me, starting with a bloated broken economy on the server would mean a lot of new ppl that will come ( so many ppl that play on private server will flock to this i assure you ) are going to be in a disadvantage from the get go. Hopefully Innova have some sense and NC wont allow it either.

I've read the statement that Innova will make EU only servers.
Our EU accounts at NC West will stay there, and I even think that NC West will keep the Naia server up & running, or (worse-case scenario) they'll merge Naia & Chronos into one US server (I hope this won't happen for those EU players staying at NC West).
If Innova will get new servers for Europe, I might restart for one last time. That is, if the CS won't be killing the game for me...

Yes that sounds good I really want to start from scratch I have lots on my NCW account but I dont really care I want to trade that for a fresh star hopefully without a fucked up economy, if lvl 85 characters transfer it will just ruin it cause ppl wont be able to compete. I dont think the CS will kill it cause NCW servers were always with a CS the thing is it was illegal, most of the highly equiped characters really bought their way up.
I think it's a good thing as well. One of the main reasons I quit playing L2 a lot is the (flawed) economy rung by old (and some current) RMT's. I really hope that the Innova servers will not accept transfers from NCW and we can get a full fresh start again. And with this new start build up a new (working) economy without bots (they'll use the Russian no-bot program for EU guys) and less (illegal) RMT's.
Also (as important for me), I'm only 83/68 now, and have a HUGE disadvantage against those 85/80/80/80 (with eBuyed gear) when it comes to PvP. With a new start we can play with (and against
) equal level players without the unbalance of multiple sub-class skills against you...
I'd love to check out how things are, although I'm also one of those sceptical about the changes made to the classes. Who knows, I might be wrong and it may be a good thing in the end.
just as iw ill very likely pick it backup with the new f2p expansion, what exactly is changing class wise besides the high endu stuff?

I think they'll have an IP block. I tried to play GoD on the Russian servers today, and the client crashed at the splash-screen that I can't play because of region. Think they'll drop the same there for EU servers (would be a waste IMO)
When does Free Play actually start? I tried to log in today for the first since 2006 and they still want me to pay.
Depends on where you live...
For the US, there's no word yet from Sace/Moxie on whatever and whnever will happen there. Not even a clarification about the hybrid model they'll release there...
For the EU things seem to draw close. Where first the new EU site said "The last days of autumn", it now has changed to "the Darkest Days of Autumn", which might refer to Halloween, and make a rumor I heard before this change of November 1st more likely...

I already have a forum to SPAM already. A lot of Naia refugees (40+ already) who will start at the same server and create a clan on the new Innova server in an attempt to become the #1 top-clan on the server. We even aim to capture Aden castle on the 1st siege

(havent played in ages but i know my dwarfy things) and it would solve half my problems finding either decent people to play with (hopefully) or making a guild myself (which i really do not wanna do again)

They will not have any IP blocks because thats just stupid. You can play on L2 RU. You got that error because your didnt change your system locale to Russia. You do that in Regional And Language settings and then you can go play all your heart desires.
BTW. Can I join your clan for f2p start? I can pretty much play any role needed
