Yeah....about those black balloons and "Lordy lordy, __________ is 40" routine: I made some...umm..."friendly" threats to friends and family members who thought that that might be fun to do on my 40th b-day. After I planted images of boots up asses and unending (semi-malevolent) practical jokes in their heads, my 40th b-day went off without a hitch. ;)

Yeah. The poll could have at least had a "get off my lawn!" option after 42.

More like "get of my server". I don't care about the lawn.

Thanks, I better start making those threats now, then!  But I still might pull a disappearing act, too.  I need peace and quiet to contemplate which country I'm going to take over as part of my midlife crisis.

I am convinced there is only one way to eliminate these grave evils, namely through the establishment of a socialist economy, accompanied by an educational system which would be oriented toward social goals.

25 here but dealing with going back to school has severely cut down on the amount of time I have to play MMOs. Actually that's an understatement I haven't logged on to any game in almost 8 months. Sad I know, but I'm an addict so it's either all or nothing for me and school + my addiction to MMOs was a disaster my first semester.

I'm really looking forward to this summer because I will in an internship program and be back on a regular 40 hour a week schedule again. Hopefully something good will be out by then to grab my interest for a few months.

    37 but I look about 25..  and I'm female /gasp!

I raided 5 nights a week in EQ1 with two people that were over 60, and that was like 6 years ago already.

My ex husband is 45 and plays WoW about 40 hours a week, my mother is 59 and plays WoW at least 20 hours a week, my father (also 59) was the one that introduced me to EQ1 in 1999, and he also plays WoW now.

I play EVE, waiting for GW2.

You don't stop playing when you get old, you get old because you stop playing.

    I'll be 30 in 15 days.

Cant say Im really excited about it.  Goodbye 20s.   : (

I still get carded for cigs or beer though.  Even had cashiers argue with me that I dont look old enough.  So I guess thats good.  I do kind of look like I could be 20 or 21.

I'm very surprised at how evenly spread this poll is. Even if there should be more categories.

    Waiting for: GW2

It's awesome to see that so many older people are playing! Where I come from everytime you mention gaming people tell you "aren't you supposed to quit doing this at say 13". Turned 30 this year and am looking at many, many more years of gaming ahead of me. Hell I will probably create a retirement home guild when the times come, I hope. Great poll, OP. I hope many more vote.

35 years old. Started gaming with my Atari 2600 back in 1982 when I got it for Christmas and haven't looked back. Started MMO's with EQ1 in 1999 (Just recently re-subbed to it and having a blast too!). Just took my daughter Homecoming dress shopping this past weekend! (Will be 15 December 15th). Where does time go? And is it just me?...or does it seem to anyone else that with each year it flies by faster than the last?

What bothers me is you've kept 18+ year old toe nail clippings.  Thats very......different.

Indeed. Do all people drop dead at 43, or what?
