So after getting married my wife and I lived in a few diffrent places, none of them had the option of getting high speed internet, so we just used our phones..

Well we got a house built, and now after 2 years I finally have internet. Cable...18mbs (For Alaska that is smoking fast)

But now what?

I have a friend and we can finally start playing MMO's togeather, but we don't know what to play. WoW, FFXI, FFXIV are out. We've played both, or just don't like them.

He has played rift since launch, so thats out. (we kinda wanted to start fresh)....so what game do we play?

I prefere more FFXI type games

he likes WoW style......

Ideas?...

Something to hold you over until SWTOR or GW2 come out.

    CoX?

    AoC?

    Both are now F2P.

You should give TOT a try I dont think you be disapointed what so ever. If you played WoW before nothing wrong with going back and checking out the new area's and a lot of Hype for GW2 well anyways WB hope you enjoy your return to the MMO world.

Why don't you & your friend play http://www.drakensang-online.com/  untill the heavy hitters drop in the next few months.

Velika: City of Wheels: Among the mortal races, the humans were the only one that never built cities or great empires; a curse laid upon them by their creator, Gidd, forced them to wander as nomads for twenty centuries...

Vanguard is a great mmo for playing as a DUO.

The game is meant for two or more.  Most all other mmos are solo based for open world.

I play with a lot of real life friends and every mmo is solo unless you only play dungeons as a group.

Two of us are trying to play Rift together for the last few weeks and everything but Dungeons is wayyyy to easy, and frustrating because of it.

Back in the Vanilla WoW days we used to get like 5 of us and had a lot of fun in the open world questing, but them days are gone, it's like Rift, way to easy to play as a group.

What I understand is LOTRO is the same way now.

EQ2 would be a DUO game also but it's a mess with all the expansions now.  You can't figure out where to go next because it's peaced together.  The world looks very drab and outdated too.  You have a choice to play F2P or pay the monthly sub.  The F2P sucks from what I understand, and the pay sub lost a lot of players because of it.  So what I'm saying is that it's a DUO game but it sucks !!!

The only other suggestion would be to try Dungeons & Dragons Online..............It went F2P, and did a good job of it. You will get maybe two good weeks out of the game until you have to pay for stuff.....THEN if you like it, I would recommend paying the monthly sub, and FIND A GUILD OF ONLY SUB MEMBERS. So you don't have to put up with the free loaders. Understand that this mmo is based on doing dungeons with groups only, there is no open world but the dungeons are the best of any other mmo....This is a great game to play with a friend.  As both of you can always play in a group together with others.

You can watch tons of porn when you get bored of your wife.

in all seriousness try lord of the rings online, its a big F2P mmorpg pretty high quality.

well WoW is still n1 and pretty much the best p2p out there,

otherwise its the free2play mmos but all the succesful ones would pretty much be like wow, but free.

tho unique mmos that may be worth checking out would be.

    vindictus

    D&D online

    eden eternal

    elsword.
