What hell is MMORPG.com doing allowing this article to ever be posted? Its blatant trolling the Star Wars fans.
This was the one small issue the writer had in the article that just kind of bothered me and I haven't heard many people speak on it much if at all. I wish at some point we would stop reffering to the extremist types who follow these view points as "Star Wars fans" as if they have some sort of monopoly on star wars fandom.
I think what we need to realize is alot of these people may be fans of sci-fi,fantasy, and mmorpg's they are often only casual star wars fans.
Often topics are created here to use "lore" to try and debunk what BW is trying to do and the ones who show themselves to have knowledge of star wars that goes beyond a couple of films are hardly the people who are constantly throwing phantom complaints in the wind.
It makes me dizzy to hear people who try and get the point across that somehow what SWG was is more about Star Wars than what BW is trying to do, how would that be when we saw the farm for about 5-10 minutes and and you could roll up all those non combat classes in about a half an hour show for all the face time they got.
I enjoyed SWG pre nge too but I don't have those blinders on that showed that game as if it was as bright an experience as when you first had the world of star wars revealed to you.
Also Bane, you're not gonna play because they're patching in same sex content? Kinda ironic from a bloke posting from Camp Hill, you have to admit.
Most people from Camp Hill, hell the general Harrisburg area are pretty conservative by and large. It's always been pretty old fashioned. I didn't say I wasn't going to play. I am going to play, only because I made a promise to my guildmates, but, that whole same sex content issue just took all the wind out of my sails for the game. I just don't enjoy that sort of stuff and steer away from it because of that.
Good thing then that it's not going to be forced on you or anything, isn't it? That you won't ever have to be confronted with such blatant immorality because you can simply refrain from choosing it? I'm sure it will be a bitter pill to swallow for you to even know, somewhere in the back of your mind, that such distasteful activities might be taking place, hidden away in the dark recesses of someone else's private story. Frankly, I don't know how you'll be able to cope with such an onerous invasion of your personal headspace.

For me, the comments have been hilarious as well. You are seeing a lot of peeps get upset about a satire article, which means the article is hitting a little too close for them.

Honestly. I actually like SWTOR. I'm looking forward to playing it when it goes live. I'd explain why, but the mods would censor it because the NDA is still in place. I just can't stand the constant bitching about it on here, usually because the folks bitching the loudest haven't played it and don't know what the hell they're talking about.

Ok Coyote, we ALL get it. You're a fanboy & refuse to see the problems with SWTOR. You can stop bashing people who look upon the game for what it is. A "Grab for Cash" by Lucas Arts & using EA-Bioware (note the EA part) to do it.
