No it is not and it never was or will.
The best mmo on the maket that nobody has ever heard of and nobody plays? You still can not even find a review for the game from professional sites like IGN and Gamespot.
IGN does have a "review" of DarkFall http://vault.ign.com/View.php?view=editorials.detail&id=225
That being said, I think since the whole EuroGamer review fiasco, most review websites have chosen to avoid Darkfall....that and DarkFall doesn't advertise so they don't bother with the game either, let alone give it a good "7.5-8.5/10" score that all games they've advertised on receives.
Nonetheless, DarkFall is far from being the "best MMORPG" out there, and if AV don't change the way they work, it will never be.
Not that anyone in the would would be able to make sense of that nonsense.
Darkfall is not a MMORPG, it is a AAFPA. (Arcade Action First Person Adventure)
Theree is no role playing, it's an arcade game.

This. IGN and Gamespot won't even acknowledge this game's existence with anything other than a page with no image and a one sentence description of what the product was supposed to be.
Thats not a review. I clearly says Hands On Preview / First Impression as the title.
What fool stays in one spot for 3 hours farming a mob? Of course you'll get your stuff taken if you play like that. Rule number 1 of Darkfall, Bank early bank often, rule number 2 of Darkfall, first learn rule number 1.
Yeah it sure is the best MMO, that is why there are so many people playing the game. Jokes aside, I think youre wrong.

The only think is that none have the balls or patience to get into this game and start bashing the forums that it sucks.

DFO isnt a game of skill.. its about levels.. and grinding abilities so you can push an I WIN button.. no skill required.. which is why.. the PVP players who do have skills.. don't play it.. why would they ? the game actively punishes skilled players by ignoring their abilities.. and that isnt even the worst indictment against the game...
isn't that why people are so proud of darkfall? Because its a FPS with a grind? Planetside is what... 9 years old? Did It all way better.

people are proud of darkfall because its the only player skill based game out there..
so those abilities you have to grind to 100 have finally be removed.. well done then.. gosh no levels now eh.. if only.
A: Planetside is an MMO. This is MMORPG.com and it has Planetside listed, it was advertised as an MMO, it charges a monthly fee. Walks like a duck, talks like a duck, it's a duck.
B: Half sandbox MMO? is this a new subgenre?
C: People are proud of Darkfall beause people have a crazy desire to defend whatever game they are currently paying $15 a month for.
The simple fact is, if you try to sell Darkfall as a sandbox MMO with FFA PvP and full loot, EVE is obviously a better game. If you try to show off "player skill" and a FPS interface, Planetside is the clear winner. You may enjoy it, but that doesn't make it the "best".

you have attributes and spell stats
Attributes are the bascis of your char.
Spell stats are 1-100 which indicate how often you use a spell and the dmg output.
but your not getting my point:
You can have a uber char in darkfall and still suck in pvp
you can have a newbie char and kill vets chars in the game..
Its not about the stats its about the skills of player and if any players say otherwise they either
- don't play the game
- tried the trial and gave up within the trial time
i think most went for option 2.... which inevitably became option 1.
Seconded. Also when planetside 2 comes out, if ever, it will be even moar better than the original is better i assume. however, i have not tried darkfall myself so maybe it is fun too. the world may never know.
planet side is just a open world shooter nothing more nothing less..

I ran around killing people in planetside, I ran around killing people in Darkfall.
Also, Lineage2 had better PvP, and that game just turned 7 years old. It also has far more subscribers than Darkfall, despite its age.

there is no point with debatting which is best. because darkfall is one of a kind..
Line age 2 is point and click so keep dreaming my friend and hopefully you will have fun in your point and click game.
