Dopamine Reinforcement

Risperdal inhibits dopamine activity in the brain.

Dopamine, amongst other things, is associated with positive and negative behavior reinforcement.

What happens to a person when nothing feel right or wrong anymore?

I think it loses motivation then emotions and finally it's ability to live in society.

What do you think?

Does it inhibit all dopamine activity?  Is it known to actually cause people to feel that nothing is right or wrong anymore?  If so, then yes, I think it would do just what you describe.  That's a pretty big if, though.

Let's see.  According to medicinenet, it's used mainly to treat schizophrenia, bipolar mania, and autism.  It's hard to live in society as a schizophrenic or autistic already, not sure about how well bipolars do in their manic states.  I suppose it's possible some do very well with that whole type A go go go! work work work! I can do anything! attitude, at least for awhile.

If someone were taking this on doctor's orders and decided it was turning them into an unmotivated, amoral person incapable of living in society, I reckon that person might want to talk to their doctor about an alternate drug, or no drug.  And if that person can't trust their doctor's opinion, I guess it's going to have to be up to the person to decide whether to take it or not.

If your risperdal is making your feel like shit, talk to your doctor about trying something different. There's a lot of medication out there. Alternatively, if you're just starting it, stick with it. It takes time to get used to meds. Before you stop taking it, keep in mind that you're taking it for a reason.

Been writing on a sheet of paper. I've been looking for emotions caused by the system (my life).

I've determined that i am: Worried, hateful, sad, facinated, proud, scared, angry, aggressive, sad, happy, tortured, scared; in that order.

Sound is pretty big in emotion matters. So's the cat.

It's probably time to go talk to your doctor.
