--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dear Myst Online fans,

It has been more than two months since Myst Online was launched and the cavern is still buzzing with activity. Behind the scenes, we've been focusing on expanding the Myst Online universe with continuous content and Age updates, improving the technology, and listening to you – the fans.

Now, we're pleased to announce that we're ready to move on to the next phase.

Based on your feedback and in-game actions, we are making some big improvements. Starting with the next update, we are making the move to regularly scheduled episodic content release. By having a set schedule of updates, players can be ready when major events will be happening in the cavern. That means that the release of all of an episode's content and story (e.g. new Ages, pages, clothing, character interaction, story revelations, artifacts and intrigue) will be packed within a single week each month, rather than spreading out the releases over the entire month.

Between episodes, feel free to take a deep breath, talk amongst yourselves, delve into the new content more deeply, create your own events, explore with your friends, discuss and dissect everything that took place, and prepare for the next episode.

This change will take place immediately and our new episode "Scars" will begin on Saturday, May 19th. The beginning is over. Everything in the cavern is about to change. This episode’s highlights include:

• The D'ni Restoration Council (DRC), often criticized for being "overly cautious," is stunned when their caution and control is unable to save the life of someone very close.

• A never-before-seen new Age is released featuring a vast landscape with hours of unique game play to solve by yourself or with friends.

• The first hints of an impending conflict emerge and the repercussions will change the course of the restoration forever.

We couldn't have gotten here without you! Thank you so much for being a vital part of our world.

The Myst Online Team

to start with the statement  says two months (this is wrong  5 months plus the beta stages more like) not counting all the years it was offline thanks to UBISoft pulling out

(its now obvious that they knew this was a lame duck right from the start)

In other words   hey we are having finacial problems and lets see if we can Con everybody by giving them less for there money

let them pay one month subscrition and only give them one weeks worth of game play.

also its even better to Rip off the international subsribers because they do not get the full GameTap package

So is the so called game worth the money           not when you have far better quality and more value for money games out there

CYAN go back to what you know and start to make single player Games  and  leave the online Games to the professionals

this so called Game is now showing its age (no pun intended) and reading your statemennt its obvious you cannot deliver what you first said you would   That was small upgrades every  week.

this game is so full of bugs that Cyan cannot control.  if anyplayer comes across a bug then Cyan start to threaten that player with a banning order

is this Game worth the Subsription    not at the moment

if this Game is still around in another 5 months then may be could be worth another look at it

    You missed the point.

Each month's "content" will be released during the course of a week-long episode that month. "Gameplay" is a completely different thing. In the case of this month's episode,"Scars," the cavern is right now humming with activity and story. (In fact, it's all quite dramatic!) Same amount of content released in a quicker burst. Actually, more content really since this episode is heavy on plot and storyline which is what some explorers felt was lacking over the past couple months.

The new age, Minkata, will be released on Thursday near the end of this episode and will give players lots of "gameplay" over the next few weeks.  Plus, a number of new items (upgrades, enhancements, etc.) have been showing up through the week in various locations... and people will be able to explore and discover these new things at their leisure - and talk about the significant events that have occurred and how they will affect the cavern in the future.

MOUL has been at the top of the most-played-games list on GameTap since its inception. Your logic regarding financial problems is dubious since you have no understanding of the agreement between GameTap and Cyan.

MOUL was launched internationally on Feb. 15th, 2007. So the "over two months" statement was completely accurate.

Are the international subscribers paying more for less. Yes. But you better believe Cyan is aware of this and wants to keep them on board. (GameTap is also rolling themselves out to more countries this year; and subscribers in those countries will get the GameTap service along with their MOUL subscription at no extra cost.)

The origonal poster is an idiot, as thoroughly evidenced by his or her ASSumptions.

Personaly, I'm glad you won't tbe anywhere near this game, you'd ruin it for the rest of us.

Seriously, did you create your account JUST to bash this game? How lame is that?

hey we are having finacial problems and lets see if we can Con everybody by giving them less for there money

three month's without any new content   and  poor connection's

is this Game worth the Subsription    not at the moment

only if you like paying for GameTap

Has this game come to an end?

looks like not only the fans have been conned by Gametap   even cyan have been .

possable two year wait before cyan will be able to get the right,s back for there own creation,

so even the fans cannot submit there own age's

I actually like the single players games and was looking into this but it looks like its dead now

Make games you want to play.
