Sorry bud but you are just asking for a complete troll and flame fest with a question like that!

At the end of the day the best thing to do is play the game and make up your own mind it is the only way that you will ever know if it is good for 'you' or not.

It must be Thursday, i never could get the hang of Thursdays.

    I'll keep this civil :)

WoW is both good and bad. In a nutshell, the WoW end game is directly proportional to the guild your in. If its a solid raiding guild you will have a great time.

If you are in a small guild, a large guild with draconic laws/rules, or in a huge guild that you get shut out from raids (or delegated to third tier raiding) then WoW is no fun at all

Everyone has different tastes when it comes to what they want out of their MMORPG's.

Therefore, WOW satisfies the needs of many..... and misses for a (relative) few.

I played WOW for over 1.75 years combined, (quit once in the middle) and had some good times until TBC came out and I realized the end game plan Blizzard had for the game.  It wasn't for me..so I moved on to other pastures.

But for others...they enjoy the WOW end game, so its 'good' for them.

Is it fun for you....that's all that really matters at the end of the day...if so... play it..if not...quit...

Play WoW and be torn in to the black abyss that it is. All it ever does is steal your life and for absolutely nothing. It's not fun and it will never be.

To each his own for this game.

Played wow for quite some time, but the community drives me crazy sometimes.

Seems like everyone is focused (On a pvp server) on being the best and mocking you.

But WoW is about achieving goals. Problem is, once you achieve those goals. There's nothing to do.

What do you mean nothing to do. There is still thousands and thousands of hours of raiding to do to get everyone on the server there gear so all the kiddies epeens can grow another inch!

Seriously though just like any game. WoW is great for some not for others. You will find alot of people had fun for the first year-2years with WoW then got bored with it quickly.

I'm pretty sure once you get all there is to get on WoW there is nothing to do afterwards. Both PvP and PvE is dull and repetative and the only reason you do them is to gear up your toon. It's really not worth it. Play something free atleast so you don't get robbed of your money, put it into a bank or something instead.

How can you say that? You have an obscene amount of time played in WoW. Obviously it was good enough to keep you (and millions more) playing the game.

I can understand if you got burned out. I played a fraction of the amount that you did and eventually got burned out. But c'mon. The game didn't make you spend that time and money. You did.

The OP wants to know if its good or bad. The real answer is that its a very  polished game tha's easy to get into. It's solo friendly, which is both good and bad, but ultimately most people have fun playing to the max level.

OP, Whether you like the end-game is something only you can answer. To each his own. Just don't become another cliched WoW hater who neglected their RL for their WoW life and hate Blizzard for making a game that they loved (past tense).

You can ask that to people, or you can try WoW yourself! I already played 2 trials, i still don't like it, but maybe you will; But always try to find a trial before you ask people if it is good ;)

WoW , well i own a copy and bought TBC but never got 1 toon passed 42 i want  to play graphic are fun and lots of people running around but after 2-3 hours i start to fall asleep at the keyboard and i am not tired just to bland i guess but i resub every so often to see what's up so best is to just try it and see

So far so good not much flame yet...

I like WoW for the most part. It does get repetitive at times. I have found once you get a main to 70, playing that toon in moderation helps getting burned out. I started several Ats of different Profs. There is a difference playing Hunter or Warlock. Variety and moderation with daily time spent in game will keep it more interesting than grinding the same toon day in and day out for hours on end...

Try it to determine for your self.

It's a fun game until you hit level cap.

  • Kasp3rKasp3r Member Posts: 67

its a very good game, just dont roll a warrior!

there the dying class thats getting nerfed to hell.

  • ThillianThillian Member UncommonPosts: 3,156

It's a very boring game until you hit the end-game, when it gets even worse. But some people (9mil) pretend to actually enjoy it and try to convince others it's the best game out there and that 9 milion just can't be wrong.

WoW is a game for anybody still in thier teens.  The community is immature and rather unhelpful.. Unless u consider "L2P Noob" and "LOLROFLCOPTERSKATES noob." to be considered valid forms of help from the general player. Classes are completely unbalanced for PvP and PvE alike with rogues, warriors and warlocks being heavily favored.  Leveling up to 70 is an ok experience at best with "endgame" being nothing more than a gear grind fest. WoW had its time in the sun but that time is over. If you want a decent endgame experience you won't find it in wow... best to wait for WH or AOC.

That's like asking why britney spears is most popular and best selling singer. Simply because general public has no critical thinking.

I always hate this statement, no matter how many times i read it. I remember reading something a while ago that said the average age of the wow player was about 27-28 years old with women on average slightly older, so this whole thing of it being a world full of 12 year olds is a complete myth!!

On your other point, yes with a community this big there will be a few idiots, but they are in the minority and that is what the ignore function is for. At the end of the day you choose the people you socialise with in real life and in game.

Lastly, Thillian, if you think that Britney Spears is the most popular singer in the world at the moment you obviousley haven't been reading the news lately.

At the end of the day guys, this whole question of whether WoW is the best or not is all down to a point of view as to those that play and love it, it is, but to those that don't play it or have played it to death it isn't. It's all a pretty pointless argument really!

Wow is a good game it plays well and the classes are fun.

That beign said it has no end game (unless you call raiding for equipment that will be junk in 6 months is end game)

But still its fun and well until WArhammer ill be playing it and or potbs (but the fact that they changes the beta sign ups and newsletter, system without incorpating the peopel perviously signed up or notoifyting them , makes me a bit worried. IE they didn't care to do it right they just did it and said well ... who cares.)

Still the combat works well, so it is fun.

It's ok...It's not a diamond, but it's not a total crap either. What keeps me there is the universe of Warcraft. I get bored of MMO's really fast, but with WoW, just when i get bored, I see some interesting Warcraft universe related thing and Im like "dang thats that thing from wc3" and well yeah, that is what keeps me playing.
