Carolyn Koh had the chance to talk to Dreamlords Lead Designer Jon Selin about the upcoming MMORPG.

Hello Jon, it's been a while since we talked to you last in October of 2006, and prior to that, it was E3. Tell us what you've accomplished in the "in-between" time and if there have been any more "massive" changes.

As always it has been extremely hectic over here, but that's the way we like it. The last months we have focused mostly on tweaks and bug fixes but we have managed to sneak in a few major things as well. For example we have implemented a more interesting PvP system. Rather than just choosing to fight someone there are now several battle-maps with territories that the players can claim and wage war over. The designers have been hard at work with the content, recently we have been focusing on the storyline and expanding the role and choices surround the player's avatar, the Dreamlord. At this phase of development a lot of our focus is mostly on balancing and tweaking rather than dreaming up new features. Oh yeah, we also updated our engine so the artists are hard at work squeezing out what they can from it. I don't know exactly what it means but from all their talk about changing the materials and new lightning it's got to be good.

    what the hell is up with that dude's hair?? pick a style dude. shave it or wave it man! do something. i cant take any game seriously with a dude that has shaved the top of his mop but left the sides. uh....errrrrrr--igggghhtttt. keep taking those meds jon selin

    I beleive this is what hapens when you alow us geeks to cut our own hair,..did he actaully look inthe mirror before he walked out of his house ,...it may sound shalow of me, but i cant seem to get past his retarded person haor vut,..poor,poor him,..i think i did something like that in highschool, got rididuled, and never vut my own hair again,...lesson learned,..now i geuss its his turn, if your going to get a new hair cutm make sure your not in the public eye ,..ouch that acually hurt my eye

    Cant belive you people are sad enough to judge a game by how the guy looks, i bet half of you look pretty damn goofy yourselves.

    Anyways, this should be cool, a game i can play in work, nice indeed.

    I am completely disappointed in all of you making the hair comments. You know I'm covered in tattooes, including two full sleeves, my hands and knuckles. Does that make me less professional? I've held a professional career for 9 years working with the public.

    This looks like a very cool game from what I've "read."

    I'm actually pretty ashamed for you guys here who have nothing to say about this game other then the guys hair. It might not be my style, but why take cheap shots in a public forum? Says more about you then him, or his game, imho. I would guess most of you guys arnt exactly model material yourselves... I don't know why, but I'm getting images of 30 year old over porked guys with mum made hair cuts, greasy skin and glasses... I bet you all work 'in IT' as well eh? heh

    People expressing themselves in anyway they wanna is a good thing eh? Don't be such asses. He, and noone else, needs your approval for anything they do in this world. I can't imagine what made you all think they do.
