    rofl, isnt that the pope?

"This is the beginning of a new day. You have been given this day to use as you will. You can waste it or use it for good. What you do today is important because you are exchanging a day of your life for it. When tomorrow comes, this day will be gone forever; in its place is something that you have left behind...let it be something good."

In an attempt to push this back on topic, I think the problem I have with most female outfits in just about all computer games is that they are ridiculously inadequate.  I am as red-blooded as the next guy and I find it silly - sexy though it may be - for a female warrior preparing for a tough melee to be clad in only a helmet, an iron bustier, and a pair of metal boots.

If we are talking magic users or monks or other characters where clothing is little more than an adornment, then a sexy female look might actually work for the character, but who's to say that full armor is necessarily not sexy anyway?  Did anyone see Joanne Whalley-Kilmer in Willow?  Yowza!

I think it is pretty obtuse for all female characters to be 5 foot 6, 98 pounds, long legged and gorgeous.  One cool thing about EQ was that there were female characters who were downright ugly, like ogres, trolls, gnomes, halflings, and bearded female dwarves.  Still, the lion's share of MMOG female characters look and dress like swimsuit models.  Maybe that's sexist...I don't care so much about that.  What bothers me much more is that it's just plain absurd.  If I were going up against a tough foe in real life, the last person I'd want leading the charge would be Britney Spears in steel buttfloss. image

    NC > DAoC > EQ > UO > fecal matter > leper's oily rags > SW:G

Dude, EQ II doesn't even remotely interest me. Now, FFXI on the other hand, I never even liked the latest FF's besides 7 and down, but a game that'll connect PS2 players and PC players on a REAL RPG. (not PSO, that one sucked.)

The fighting is good but the crafting system is lacking, if you've gathered one material you know exactly how the rest are collected.

I don't mind gratituous flesh as long as there's a reason for it. For example, if it fits within the traditional fantasy genre for a certain race to show more skin, like orcs (males and females), or dark elves, then I think it's fine. I'm a girl and I'd like my avatar to look good, too. And who's to say mages can't wear some heavier armor and only have to be in robes? Clerics are spellcasters and they usually get to wear some kind of armor... :)
