First. Obviously won't be for everyone. I myself think it makes the game a lot better, though I turned off bloom (shift+f2 and turn off the bloom effect) since that was terrible to me.

If you like it, all you have to do is download Reshade

install it to where your WoW.exe is located in your WoW install folder, select WoW.exe and do direct x 10+choose all effects (all effects should be checked by default)

then create a .txt with notepad where your WoW.exe is located and copy/paste these settings

and no, no ones in WoW's life has ever been banned for using sweetfx/reshade in WoW or most other MMOs. And WoW reddit allows reshades to be posted, and they wouldn't allow things posted that would be against the TOS of WoW. And in cases it may come up is for actual legit cheaters who were using actual cheat programs. I'm sure there is that one MMO that hates even reshade/sweetfx (I think that would actually be BDO). Though Blizzard's official stance tends to be more neutral when asked.

With that out of the way. In-game once Reshade is installed (you'll see effects loading at game start up), just press shift+f2 and press that + button on the top under "home" (should go there by default) and select the .txt you made with the copy/paste settings from pastebin. Then just hit reload (might not have to, I do anyway) and it'll load it up

And if don't like the bloom, uncheck "BloomandLensFlair". And you may want to under settings (shift+f2) change usage mode to performance mode once you are done. I think configuration mode is for tweaking things, and I find it performs (well probably hence the name) better in performance mode.

I'm usually a fan of Reshade and SweetFX in games, but I don't think I like it here.  Maybe it's too red, or maybe I'm just too used to WoW's bright color palette after 13 years.  It could also be that Argus is just too dark for it to really shine.  How do you like it in other parts of the world?

Edit: Ok, I googled a few other screenshots, and I think it definitely looks better in other parts of the world.  I still think it's a little too red at times, but certainly better looking overall than the original.

It darkens up and saturates the image. And yeah it does add a lot of red. Though I think the guy could have chosen more locations, because I personally like how it looks in Durotar and Orgrimmar. I'll head to barrens and take some screen grabs too...keep in mind its now night time in WoW so its gonna be a bit brighter in day.
