What gimmicks await in EDO?

Was looking over the costs for EDO and thought about giving it a try. Wanted to know a few things first, such as, what all is included in the base price?
Do they limit you in any way with the base price?
How much money would you have to spend other then the original cost of the game for necessities, such as bank or inventory space, character slots etc etc...

Edit- Also, I was looking at buying the Summerset expansion that includes the main game for $40. Seems like a good deal.
Is there any other essential content that I would need to buy, expansions etc?
