Their decision to partner with Perfect World makes this a game I will never play. Shame too. I was part of their testing team prior to the Windows 10 exclusive decision a year or so ago. I enjoyed the game a good deal.

But I will never play and support something in the hands of Perfect World. Their greedy p2w approach to games is something I will never help finance. Even if it's indirectly.

Granted i agree Perfect world is pretty dam greedy but the gigantic team had no choice. They ran out of money there employees were working for free at a point and the future of the game looked grim but Perfect world came in and apparently offered them the funds to finish and release the game before signing any kind of contract. Or at least that is what what the story has been.

The whole PWE thing is bothersome, but it is a necessary evil given the game's dire financial situation.

In part, I have some optimism that this game will fare better than other PWE offerings due to its genre, indie-level scope, and western development studio. Hopefully that will be enough for this once promising title.

No I think it's pretty much the same as Trion, but for some weird reason the people that play PWE and Nexon games have just accepted the P2W in every single one of them. Whereas Trion was decent, then sloped downhill extremely fast.

Loving Gigantic a great deal, there is no form of P2W in there and the game is set up in such a way that it will be VERY unlikely it will be added. Bought the starter pack for 10 buck to support them. Amazing art style to boot. Only thing I am afraid of is long term depth and lack of synergy between characters.

'This does not apply just to ED but SC or any other game. What they will get is Rebirth/X4, likely prettier but equally underwhelming and pointless.

It is incredibly difficult to design some meaningfull leg content that would fit a space ship game - simply because it is not a leg game.

It is just huge resource waste....'
