Can't figure out how to customize the expanded cross bars...please advise. :)

So I watched a video showing how to turn on the expanded bars with the controllers.

Now I have a addition bars that come up when I hit a trigger twice or pull one and then the other...it's great.  But I can't figure out how to manipulate the abilities that are in the bars.  

Could someone please share?
