Spectrum seems to be a reskin of Slack :(

Like they got just a reskin license and sell it as their latest innovation.

We will see how they expand it to ingame assets in the future but at the moment it's just an out of the box thing.

    Interesting. Obviously nothing wrong with reskinning, enhancing and incorporating it into the game but they made it sound as though it was an in-house developed project.

    In this video he says stuff like "We came up with...", "a year long labour of love" etc

    Indeed, Spectrum looks a lot like Discord not like Slack.

    And the emojiis are from EmojiOne.

    Spectrum I think is built on the same Framework as Discord, if not the same a similar one. The frameworks already exist so it's a matter to work with what is already open source to do your own things. :+1:

    Slack has recently took the more Discord-ish inferface thing, as it started to move away from the IRC layout too as they starting to roll out a more community-driven approach.


    This is cool for the Orgs, integration in-game/in-launcher with things like voice-chat. So no need to go to external services (as Discord) to use as communication for your guilds.
