A new 'watercooler' blog article has been posted on the World of Warcraft community site that examines how PvP gear in the upcoming Legion expansion will be changing from the way it has manifested in Warlords of Draenor (and previous expansions). The article begins with a discussion of the history of PvP gear and the underlying philosophy behind the choices devs are making for how gear will become as useful out of PvP as it is PvP experiences.

They are really tackling the "problem" with RPGs and PvP in general - as they said, how do you allow for power growth without making PvP unfair and nothing but a grinders min/max game?
They certainly have tried many things over the last decade.
In the end, they're pretty much doing what Destiny does.
Higher ilvl (Light) in Destiny gives you x% increases.
It's fair, you can get gear from any source and it helps you raise your ilvl and compete better.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
It's looking more and more like I'm going to skip this expansion and just hang up WoW for good. Not that I'm playing it anyway, but I thought of coming back for this expansion.
I'm not an IT Specialist, Game Developer, or Clairvoyant in real life, but like others on here, I play one on the internet.
The complaint though has been the disparity (reasons various) and simply splitting the leader boards won't remove that. Unless they intend to remove - or maybe normalise - player scores.
Active racials should be made PvE only, for example the cc nullification of human racial should only be used for cc from NPC not players. Of course there is Night elf shadowmeld, that will require a bit more thinking but i am sure if Blizzard wanted they could work something out for every racial to not effect PvP and make things more balanced.
