Welcome to ThanosReturns Cosmic Chaos Event Guide!!!
In this guide, I will detail what the cosmic chaos event is all about and all the best information on making the most out of the event.
Lets first talk about the event itself. Inside the event from certain enemies in the game a cosmic worldstone has a chance to drop. Now a cosmic worldstone is used as currency at the cosmic chaos vendor "Moondragon". This event comes around evey 5 weeks in the event rotation and lasts 1 week.
Farming cosmic worldstones are the name of the game in this event, due to many end game necessities you can buy from the vendor just defeating enemies for 1 worldstone wont work. The most efficent way to farm the worldstones is going to be from cosmic bosses in any of the cosmic terminals or cosmic patrol zones. (such as Cosmic Midtown Manhattan or Cosmic Industry City Park) The bosses in these zones will drop Worldstone Caches, which drop multiple worldstones as well as cosmic items. They also have a smail chance to drop Doop Runes, Cosmic Insignia Upgrade tokens, and Cosmic Doop Sectors.
After collecting tons or worldstones, you can use them to purchase items from Moondragon. She is located in the west wing of Avengers Mansion next the other event vendors. There are many items you will want to purchase based on what type of hero you are playing as well as items that will be used for all end game characters regardless of damage type. I will show you and explain these items.
First is the Power Cosmic Legendary.
Power Cosmic is a legendary made for heroes that has multiple damage types on their powers. (physical, energy, and mental) A great legendary to use until you can purchase a level 80 legendary.
Next is the Doop Ectoplasm.
Doop Ectoplasm is a great artifact for yet again multiple damage type heroes. It works very well with Power Cosmic as well as The Power Doop Runeword. (You will see this later in the guide.)
Third is Doop Inspiration.
Doop Inspiration is a excellent runeword to use on summoner heroes.
Fourth is The Power Doop runeword.
The Power Doop is considered by many as the most powerful runeword in the game, and for that reason is the most used. Pretty much all melee heroes use this for the brutal damage buff. Its hard to use any other runeword when you get a brutal damage boost like this. Its exceptional on multiple damage types. You should be able to start seeing a partern with these items so far lol.
Fifth item is Upgrade Epic Insignia to Cosmic receipe.
This receipe will allow you to turn a epic insignia (the purple ones) into a cosmic insignia. The main reason to do this is when you cosmic a insignia, it will have a +1 all skills affix added to it. This affix is used to max out many powers on heroes.
Sixth item will be Cosmic Upgrade Token.
You have to use this item to perform the Epic Insignia to Cosmic receipe. If you dont have this then your not able to upgrade the insignia.
Last but not least and probably the most important item is Gifted Doop Rune.
Gifted Doop Runes or Doop Runes(these drop from worldstone caches as mentioned earlier. Doop runes are used in crafting the following: Power Doop, Doop Inspiration, and Epic Insignia to Cosmic. Since doop rune is used in all of these its the most important item due to the fact you will need multiple runes. Gifted doop runes are not tradeable so there just for you to use. Regular doop runes can be traded and are a valueable item to use for trading.
The last thing you will need to know, and is the most useful is, during this event all heroes recieve a 42% rare item find, special item find, and experience boost. This a great time to level heroes and legendaries as well as to farm gear if you find yourself not needing any worldstones. Although its worth mentioning that having a bulk supply of worldstones will serve you well just incase you need a gifted doop rune or cosmic upgrade token.
