I checked the south 2 Crowns area that was previously zoned for thatched houses only, knowing there would be plenty of new spots that could fit 16x16's, and it looked like the same 1 or 2 people had taken all of the spots already.
At 4 p.m. EST today Archeage was scheduled to come back up after a 48 hour downtime meant to update the game to it's new, heavily anticipated, "Evolution 2.0" format. For months now players of the game have been planning, discussing, and making arrangements for the merger of several of it's lower population servers and a complete land wipe of all of it's servers.
Now, on the day that the servers were meant to come back online, thousands of users sit in puzzled bewilderment as, once again, the mechanisms meant to handle the massive amount of logins produced by the "land grab" have failed.
if people are like you they will always be pissed no matter what happens.
pro tip : the server are down to protect the customers that run into the login issue. It is to help them, if they pissed about it they have no braincells really.

Whether they're just lucky or they really are hackers, everyone stuck at the looping cinematic is rightfully furious. Shouldn't be surprised, I guess. Some of the ones who did get in (or claim they did) are just rubbing salt in the wounds on the official forum, too. I hope they get rolled back.

I feel for those who just want to get a spot for their needs and didnt make it but most of those making a huge noise on foruns are the ones ready to take more then 30 spots to sell to others, thats the ones really pissed off.

Not really dude, as I write this I am sitting in a teamspeak with a group of people who planned for this event for weeks. It is simply an uncool thing that is happening and the people who are upset have every right to be. No one really wanted this thing from the beginning so this is an example of the playerbase being subjected to some BS simply because of something that the developers of the game wanted to happen.
Can't talk for all servers but for my server there was lots of unclaimed land the time the server has been taken offline.
I have been to solzried lacton area, Gwenoid NW area, Sanddeep fable port , 2crowns Ezna area.
Yeah same on ours but Gweonid and Two Crowns were filling up pretty fast. As I'm sure a lot of the prime moneymaking spots over in Haranya were as well. I think that's where the most of the stink comes from. People know that those spots are where everyone is going to go.
Latest update, they are rebooting the servers to clear the load. I may not be back for a bit (cause I gottta put some stuff down too) but good luck to everyone on spots.

the time the servre was taken off i was in game having no issues, but i am not crying all over the forums that they took my opportunity away to claim as many land as i could (if i wanted to do so) but understand that it is for the good for all of us that the servers are down now.

Rangora was pretty much unavailable from the start. Makes me wonder if literally thousands of bots were trying to log in so they could scoop up the land and then sell it!

I didnt say people dont have the right to be upset, ofc they are, they fail again in a launch. Even i prefer to be playing insted of looking to foruns, they mess up so it was nice to bring all servers down and check whats going on.
Im no fool for playing the best mmorpg on the market for me, and this dont bother me much to be honest. Cant play today, will play tomorow, no hurry for me.
