The Crowfall site has been updated with a new, updated FAQ about the Eternal Kingdoms, that portion of land that serves as a min-world, in essence a smaller version of a campaign world. According to the FAQ, Eternal Kingdoms allow players to construct, fight monsters, craft and explore, all from the comfort of their virtual home.
The latest article is a great one for players interested in what seems to be the next evolutionary leap in MMO housing: The Eternal Kingdoms.
Essentially, Eternal Kingdoms are player housing, yet with much more attached to them. Buildings can be constructed including marketplaces, housing and more. Fields and materials plots can be placed nearby to keep one's Kingdom self-sufficient.
Lots come in a variety of sizes, as do buildings, each needing to be upgraded over time. The progression includes Estate, Fortification, Keep, Castle, Fortress, Citadel and Palace. Kingdoms can be upgraded and even traded for a stronghold of another type.
The article also discusses the design of one's plot and the ways in which groups of players and guilds can work together within a larger plot as authorized by a Monarch, creating Fealty. Should a Monarch stop player, players can "pick up" their plots to move them to a new location. Monarchs can also grant titles to players living nearby: Noble, Vassal, or Tenant.
