So between Lords of the Fallen and Dark Soul series: whats better for me?

I didnt like the harshness of Demon Soul. I never got any Dark Soul game, but I like the Fantasy theme and the action combat of Demon Soul.

I like the RPG stats elements, and how I could build a character.

 

Animations wasnt great, but the only real turn off was the harshness.

Is Lord of the Fallen a good choice for me. If not, whats a better game more to my fit?
