AMD announces mobile Kaveri specs

In particular, the FX-7600P is going to be a legitimate gaming laptop running on low-power integrated graphics.  It offers four cores at 2.7 GHz base with turbo up to 3.6 GHz, and 512 GCN shaders at 686 MHz.  For comparison, it will probably offer gaming performance better than a rig built around these:

And yes, those are desktop parts.  Budget-oriented, yes, but this is a 35 W laptop APU that we're comparing it to.

I assume they'll be right along with all the Kaveri desktops/all-in-ones we've seen in the last few months since it's release announcement.

AMD has now officially launched Kaveri for laptops.  I don't know how soon laptops using it will show up, but I'd expect it to be sooner rather than later.  A 35 W Kaveri is fast enough that I'm going to say there's no longer much point in getting a laptop with a discrete video card that doesn't have GDDR5 memory unless it comes awfully cheap.  Higher end gaming laptops will still very much have a point, of course.

If it is anything like the A10-7850k chip it is nice but  I really do not know if  I would want it for gaming.
