Warning: Mortal Online Website Hacked

Slapshot1188Slapshot1188 Boca Raton, FLPosts: 4,507Member Uncommon

Careful going there as the website has currently been hacked by some foreign group. I have removed the link as it made my AV program webscanner go nuts.   While I cannot stand StarVault and think they have behaved EXTREMELY unethically to their customers, nothing justifies this. I hope that some form of enforcement agency is able to track down the perpetrators and make an example of them.

    EDIT-link removed

makes me wonder how secure my data is knowing the past of SV!
specialy with the past where an GM account got hacked and had access to all our data!

Just ran the message through Google Translate and came up with the rough (terribly rough) translation.

"The minds of young people, this kind of immoral pushed away negativity for publication, your site has been included Redhack lands .. Publish images of minors could be ashamed of your sisters! Redhack cease wickedness you do is you give it up .. in the breath will be your neck at all times ..!! Nasibiniz If God has given you the straight path, do not let all of you perish!"

Starvault's reponse to criticism related to having a handful of players as the official "test" team for a supposed MMO: "We've just have another 10ish folk kind enough to voulenteer added tot the test team" (SIC) This explains much about the state of the game :-)

That hacker seems like a really cool person irl...not a tool at all...

I always ask myself: "Who would be a big enough douche to make a virus?"

      He's that guy.

Looks like the normal site to me. I was expecting to see something unusual.

If in 1982 we played with the current mentality, we would have burned down all the pac man games since the red ghost was clearly OP. Instead we just got better at the game.

My very first thought was, "Why in the world would anyone bother hacking MO's website?"

I can not remember winning or losing a single debate on the internet.

Yes today.  Instead of posting that they had the site back under control and everyones data is safe, they just deleted the thread and posts about it.  Typical SV.
