Legend of Condor Heroes (the novel) is the setting and inspiration for Age of Wushu. In my opinion this will be more helpful to you than any tutorial.

Sad to say, the watered down lore in AoW is quite bland and Snailgame's adaptation and presentation of stories I often found lacking
