In fact I have a few friends right now if I could change my server or freely login to any server when playing I could play with my friends from the clan but can't cuz we are on different servers it is lame they should get rid of servers and allow players to choose any server they want to join to play in like an instance.

I dont know if you are trolling or just have completly misunderstood what an MMO is, 15 minutes waiting for a dungeon? oh my god how terrible, having to be social ? the pain...... I think MMO's might not be for you if you wanna run around in your own little world and have a phobia against socialising with others.

Everyone in this thread who is bitching has a right to be angry. But I get a laugh out of people who look at those who are raging and think. the game is dying on the vine. If someone is here raging because the game is offline, it means they still want to play. The game isn't going to fail. When they pull the game down for hrs at a time during prime time and no one bitches. Then we can worry.

The guy over exaggerated a bit yes but i don't think anyone here would disagree that once free month is over there will be sharp decline in population. The issues with game (end game specially) go beyond just emergency maintenance and log in errors. If people disagree i think they learned nothing from past P2P MMOS where once free month is over..servers begin to empty out.

That would be a safe bet with all MMOs post WoW, but I'm pretty sure it won't be a high percentage among those who are raging because they cannot log in during extended maintenance.

Not in this case - they officially called emergency maintenance soon after their 10 hour maintenance. OP's not lying here.

Let's be honest, this is not a new game...it was a game that failed so bad they had to take it down and re-launch.  That said, the server downtime, piled up by people that couldn't  even buy the game until today...that's pretty bad.  They had two chances to get it right.  The game play is fine, the execution is shameful.

Just a question... do you play the game? To say the execution is "shameful" from outside looking in appears to be quite simple. As a player of the game, I can confirm little to no issues getting in after the patch last week. And honestly, even before that, it was a bit more of a pain to spam the button, but i was able to get in every night I tried since the 24th (early access).

The original poster who is having issues logging in as soon as the servers came up, is do to the entire community attempting to log in at the same time. SE even said on the maintenance page that due to the influx of log in attempts directly following the servers coming back up, there may be log in issues.

The game is good. It's damn good and it's fun. That's why people are trying so hard to log in and play. That's why people are complaining so adamantly about not being able to play. They are having issues as the demand is much higher then anticipated. I remember having this same argument with most mmo's that have come out. It has been two weeks since the launch. And yes, it was a launch, even though people keep saying the game isn't new. These games usually need at least a month or so to work out the issues. In my opinion, they are doing a pretty good job.
