World of Warcraft: New 'Narrated' Blog Details Timeless Isle

One of the most exciting features that will arrive with the next World of Warcraft patch is Timeless Isle that will introduce several new features including NO DAILIES (yay!) and same-faction PvP. In a new blog post narrated by officer and gentleman, Major Payne, Timeless Isle is described in very picturesque language that gives players an idea of what they can expect.

Seriously, the amount of land to cover and creatures to lay waste to is far too immense to even explain. I won’t even begin to tell you about Ordos and why flaming bits of him are stuck to my shield. Let’s just say I’ve made this island my—ouch! One of the yaungol’s fleas bit me and now I have an itch. Anyway, my tales tend to cause minds to melt very quickly, so I’ll leave you with this: Whispershade Hollow, Red Stone Run, the Blazing Way, the Cavern of Lost Spirits, a mysterious floating skull, and a ghostly world riddled with chests. There are countless events, encounters, smelly animals, and delicious noms for you to enjoy. SO GET MOVIN’!!

Additionally, you can read the full patch notes on the World of Warcraft community site.

I want to love WoW again, I have for years. I have come back multiple times only to leave a few days later. Who doesn't want to be part of a game with years of history, a huge community, and regular updates?

I can never shake the feeling that what I am doing when I first come back is exactly what I will be doing in a year if I stick around, with little to no deviation. I really feel like the game should have a lot more side activities by now. I remember going to the barrens to find the hill with the angel at the top so that I could see it and also cast slow fall and jump off. I like fluff or just "neato" things so I did enjoy the goblin starting area but once I was out of there it just fell off for me.

As I wrote this I got the urge to give the game a try again but I suspect it will end like it always does. Don't worry though, I will give it a go again in a few months. I always do.
