Ok, this is simply how things are. These are concrete facts.

~MMORPGs should be split into 2 different genres.

~These two new genres should be labeled and recognized by companies as Theme-park MMORPG, and Sandbox MMORPG.

~Theme-park's are allowed an F2P, and B2P business model, as permanent population is not as necessary.

~Sandbox MMO's should remain P2P or at least otherwise not contain a cash-shop whatsoever.

~MOBA's, MMOFPS's, and ORPG's(Online RPG's [Diablo 3]) Are simply NOT MMORPG's. GET THEM OFF THIS SITE.

~A new genre of game should be created, Lobby RPG's, or LRPG's. A world filled with many other people while you run around completely single player quests to fulfill the needs of the non-social RPG players who have come into the mmorpg genre who just want an AH and trade/dueling.

~The arguments against F2P by the P2P Sandbox gamers are caused due to the OVERPOPULATION of the casuals, not the existance of them. There are simply no good Sandbox games that we haven't already played that are released right now because everyone in the market is a casual F2P player atm and businesses are catering only to them.

~Most F2P developers are greedy assholes who simply want money.

Concrete facts typically don't include the word "should".

So besides the wordplay on should would could had, you provide no feedback, say something slightly more enlightening.

There are no concrete facts in this thread, nor does this thread clarify any arguments.

    Rubbish.

There's a ton of overlap in market and gameplay. Are you going to be the judge to decide which game belongs here and which doesn't?

Most people play alone most of the time. You shouldn't fight against that. Grouping is not the only way to interact with other players.

I would go as far as to say there are no "good sandbox MMORPGs" period.

~Most F2P developers are greedy assholes who simply want money.

Yeah, because your appreciation alone doesn't pay the bills or feed the family.

Didn't clarify much anything really. But do you feel better for getting all that out?

There's nothing enlightening to offer when discussing opinions, and no feedback that wouldn't just turn into a debate. It's moot.

I dunno I think calling out your concrete facts as opinion was pretty enlightening. As far as your classification system it really doesn't matter since MMORPG is just a throw away umbrella term. That and your talking about buzzawords that no one agrees upon the meaning. I mean how many times have we had people come up with different definitions for sandbox?

You can not have clarity when people have their own definitions for buzzwords.

    How to post links.

There is ONLY one gave EVER in the existence of gaming that can boast the title of sandbox, all other games are just scripted content that you have no control over.Giving players a few tools to work with still does not change anything, you do not earn the title of sandbox with a couple tools.

That one game is Unreal Tournament, they gave you control of the entire game, you could do what ever you wanted,no limitations. You could also run your own servers, invite whoever you want or keep anyone out you did not want. That is 100% a Sandbox game, nothing else in the RPG genre comes remotely close.

If you want to label everything else Themepark so be it but there is a slight variation there as well. Most games are designed to have you follow a set path or follow the quests in a set path.FFXI however allowed you to go wherever the heck you wanted to level up,you did not get xp for doing errand quests like other games. They did not say you MUST gol to each area to get yet more free xp ,the game was basically a themepark that lets you choose the rides.

Some games give you no realistic choice ,you must follow their path/rides in their order. Some even force yo uto have top notch gear to play some content, that again forces you into a path.

you have to judge a game based on assuming all players want to play all content.

    Well your close.

The genre is being defined as MMO, and being split into subgenre's further of which sandbox and themepark are some and fps, rpg, co-op... are others.

Everything else you said is largely bunk.

Quit worrying about other players in a game and just play.

That is not a fact. It is an opinion, and you stated as such.

I second what Quirhid said.  And why should anybody listen to you?  Random forum poster.  Did you create and publish any mmo?  Did you copyright the idea for an mmo?  Did god give you the ten mmo commandments? Stop trying to make bullshit rules.
