    "Participate in a persistent online war to conquer the planet, its fate completely in the hands of the players;"

    So basically like Planetside 2? ok i must admit that im very excited with the idea, but i will nullify a major part of it untill i see something tangible, depending how this goes it may be the game of my life.

    I would be down for a Planetside 2-like Space Marine third-person shooter.

    MMOs Played: I can no longer list them all in the 500 character limit.

    These are the same guys who made the Naughty Bears series and a bunch of other games, so it might be alright.

    Somebody, somewhere has better skills as you have, more experience as you have, is smarter than you, has more friends as you do and can stay online longer. Just pray he's not out to get you.

    Warhammer 40k: Eternal Crusade Announced at E3

    Behaviour Interactive announce at E3 a brand new online game in the Warhammer 40,000 universe called Warhamer 40k: Eternal Crusade. The official website is http://www.bhvr.com/eternalcrusade/

    In this game players will choose a race from Warhammer 40k and fight for their faction supremacy over an entire planet.

    “I am thrilled to announce what will finally be the first MMORPG based on the Warhammer 40,00 license,” said Miguel Caron, Head of Studio, Online at Behaviour Interactive. “Eternal Crusade team are all MMO development veterans and with the support of Behaviour’s 20+ years of experience this is going to be the online Warhammer 40,000 universe game that fans have been dreaming of for years!”

    Hopefully that will clear up some doubts about the team.

    PRAISE RUSS PRAISE THE EMPEROR.

    Best new this year after the slitherine warhammer game announcement!

    This literally made me insanely happy. I was so sad when dark millenium was cancelled.

    Now only to make it to 2015.

    Well time enough to save up for a new gaming rig

    • Participate in a persistent online war to conquer the planet, its fate completely in the hands of the players;
    • Become a warrior from one of four initial factions, each unique and opposed to one another: Space Marines, Chaos Space Marines, Orks and Eldar.
    • Participate in truly massive conflicts that simultaneously bring thousands of players to bear over territories and other strategic resources.
    • Get behind the controls of Space Marine Rhinos, Predators, Ork Battlewagons and other iconic vehicles of the 41st millennium;
    • Hack through genuinely challenging procedural content alongside your battle-brothers and never have the same experience twice;
    • Earn the right to customize your builds in a deep progression system drawing on the rich Warhammer 40,000 universe.
    • Found a Battle Squad with friends and prepare for conflict from your customized shared space in orbit – then drop down to the planet together and seek out glory!

    So basically, Planetside: Warhammer 40K.

    Sounds good to me.

    So this is what they had done with DM. When they said that it wasnt going ahead anymore i wondered what would be done. good to see it didnt go completely to waste. All i hope is that its not a game made for consoles then ported to PC.

    Wouldn't hold my breath on this game getting done. For those of you that are NOT table top wargaming geeks or follow GW the owners of GW are in the process of trying to sell the company. Normally it took around 3 months or so before we'd see a new Army Book or Codex (these are the army specific books for Fantasy and 40K respectively that detail your troops and allow you to play the game). As of the last 6 months or so across both Fantasy and 40K we have pretty much gotten a book a month.

    What that likely means is that they are shoreing up both games with current rulesets (8th and 6th) so that they can neatly package for sale. We know, as in fact, that a deal was almost done with Hasbro.

    Additionally GW has cancelled ALL of it's Specialist games line of games. They are no longer in production and once what's left in stock is gone, they are gone gone. Necromunda, Mordheim, Blood Bowl, Battlefleet Gothic, Epic , Warmaster.

    So, again ,don't hold your breath or get too excited about anything GW right now.

    So it could be planetside2 with the warhammer 40k IP. That could be a bloody good mix...if done well ofc. I is intrigued.

    Yeah, if done right any is W40k is win. :)

    But this is the way to go if you are going to try and do it right. I hope they can pull it off.

    Yes, I know we shouldn't get our hopes up. But if this works out, it could be such an awesome online universe!

    Your right man i grew up with warhammer and 40k.. i would love to see a 40k MMO done right..

    So it is like the Space Marine game... but online...

    Well that is at least better then the last idea someone had for a online WH40K game. This way tihngs can be balanced.

    This have been a good conversation

    There's a couple decent games on their resume. Wet, for one, wasn't bad.

    However, they do seem like a VERY odd choice for a warhammer game. It'd be like finding out Maxis was developing halflife 3.

    Hopefully this will be the game that I always imagined. A good warhammer MMO could live forever. Warhammer is the best iP ever

    Any game that GW has any control in is going to be crap.  Worst IP owner ever.  Board game rules do not translate well on a computer and GW just does not get it.

    Who would in their tight mind try to sell their Company NOW? Here's why:

    They have the second best standing for their stocks in the PAST TWO YEARS! And the best standing was around 5th May or so. In short, this fiscal period is like a GODSEND to Games Workshop. They can Support themselves with their stocks just FINE. Their stock is one of the most secure stocks that I viewed(I viewed ftse, dax, Sony, Microsoft, Apple, Yahoo, nikkei, dow Jones and google) in the last three months(not even talking about large periods such as one year). They have REALLY GOOD and REALLY HEALTHY marketplace presence.

    They'd be DOWNRIGHT C.R.A.Z.Y. and LUNATIC to sell their company right now.

    (why is their stock so god dam expensive lol? It's currently at...727 points! Lol that's almost google value and above Microsoft{unusually low value!} and Apple!)

    Yeah, well, you can post all the "that's crazy" posts you want, but all I wrote initially is fact/has happened. Not only did I work as a retail store Asst. Mgr at one point but I have kept many friends who are still retail store mgrs or higher in GW. I hear about stuff.

    Take for instance you will shortly see ALL GW stores in the "Mills" malls close. Again, along with the fact that they have ALREADY TRIED TO SELL TO HASBRO, the company is still up for sale when the right deal comes along.

    I say BOOOOOOOO to GW.

    Money hungry bastards, that is why they are trying to sell. If their stock is up they sell now for high cash, not sit on it.

    Edit: I shouldn't say booo to GW, they started my favorite hobby. But still money sucking bastards.

    This sounds like a Planetside 2 kind of MMO in Warhammer 40k style. Which could be quite fun imo. Warhammer 40k could work great for this kind of game. More so then a RPG MMO where you are THE universe saving hero. That just doesn't fit Warhammer 40k universe imo.
