It is, so whats wrong with it FF14 is very bland colorwise on its own and dont quite looks like on the CGI so thx to SweetFX you can make it look like the CGI At no performance cost.
You have to consider the fact that FF14 will have a dx11 version available next year (same time as PS4 Release) with high quality textures, lightning and other effects. It suppose to be a completely new client according to the interviews.
Entirely disagree as soon as I looked at the red of his armor I knew it was just... wrong.

It looks off, and it looks fake, mostly because of the graphic modifications from sweet fx.
Perhaps respect the designer and play it the way it was intended.
