So what's next for SWTOR?

..now that everything is out which they announced at E3 last year, what's next?

checked out the dye system, ok I can be a lilac Jedi now wearing pink shoes, fine, but:

when do we get a space sim in this Star Wars MMO?

When will the twin suns set over Tatooine?

When will we be able to click on something in the casino?

When will speeders feel like speeders from the movies?

I wouldn't hold your breath for most of that.  Not for a while, anyway.  They'll do another few rounds of cartel packs before doing much of anything else.

This is normally when game companies say wow look at all the money rolling in. Lets do nothing so it lowers our costs. Then everyone quits and the game crashes and burns.....again.

They have already said that 2.2 will not include Cartel items.

The only thing's this game is  going to , is a dark empty room with a table on the center of the room, just like an interrogation room. on the table is dimly lighted table lamp and a revolver .

Cartel Packs do sell very well so they will keep releasing it till players will keep buying it.

I've completely given up on SWTOR.  Every single thing for the game now is just Cartel Market updates.  I was hoping that subscribers would get some update without having to shell out extra money for it.

Like Cathar, which was announced forever ago before free to play.  Cathar should of been free to subscribers at character creation or unlocked in market if you don't want to reroll.  And the new barber shop costs nothing but Cartel Coins.

I see now what the entire future of the game will be.  A constant stream of GU's that are actually just Cartel Market updates then DLC"s they call expansions.

I'm also waiting for an immersion overhaul, but I doubt I'll get what I want. I think this is a solid game, one of the very best PVE games out there, the most advanced story wise, but the linear feel and the lack of immersion that I felt even in games like Lord of the Rings Online really hurts it. I haven't tried any expansion yet though.

There might be cartel packs but no huge update like the customisation kiosk and Cathar race. The rest of 2.2 will be something not related to the cartel market.

2.3 - Cartel items. New purchasable hairstyles, only available to subscribers.

2.4 - Cartel items.  $5 per week you can now queue for a specific Warzone.

2.5 - Full mid-way expansion.  $20, complete with new cartel items and a new player mailbox.

2.6 - Brand new taxi models - a driver is now shown.

2.7 - Social extravaganza!  Visit your local fleet to purchase social ranks.

 

3.0 - Super Secret Space Project!  Queue for the space mission LFG to battle dark forces in a massive environment bigger than some other flashpoints, with 2 other people!

3.1 - Cartel items.  Purchase ship upgrades for the SSSP.
