Intel announces Haswell launching at 11 pm on June 3 in some unknown time zone

"Intel will reveal all there is to know about the highly anticipated 4th generation Intel® Core™ processor family."

That doesn't explicitly state a launch, but if at minimum we don't have a ton of benchmarks from independent sites, then that surely doesn't count as revealing all there is to know.

This is unusual, as Intel usually is mum on when new products will launch until the product actually does launch.  But rumors had pointed pretty strongly to Haswell launching around the start of June for quite some time now.

The post promises "incredible performance", by which they mean, "slightly faster than Ivy Bridge".  It also promises "extraordinarily long battery life", which is true if you compare it to Ivy Bridge, Trinity, and such, but not if you compare it to products like Atom or ARM that were built for long battery life.

Whats the price range on their new cpu?

Basically the same prices as Ivy Bridge for corresponding bins, though the GT3 and GT3e graphics bins for Haswell are rumored to cost more than Ivy Bridge, which only has graphics go up to GT2.
