FCI mobile app usability guideline are finally available here

"The most common usability problem was the tap target size on most interfaces. All of the adult cats were clearly frustrated—even hissing—after accidentally closing the apps they were using."

"Our initial research with feline users has provided a baseline of FCI guidelines. As always, we recommend that you conduct your own user testing if you’re designing for cats. Given this target audience’s reputation for being notoriously independent-minded, they’re less likely than humans to be accepting of bad design."

Put you paws in the air like you just don't care. Epic.

For a less serious read here's one about Windows 8's usability.

"One of the worst aspects of Windows 8 for power users is that the product's very name has become a misnomer. "Windows" no longer supports multiple windows on the screen. Win8 does have an option to temporarily show a second area in a small part of the screen, but none of our test users were able to make this work. Also, the main UI restricts users to a single window, so the product ought to be renamed " Microsoft Window.""

Not quite true. It allows 2 windows to be open but they are tiled and can't be moved or changed in size. Of course, Microsoft doesn't tell you how to do it.
