[Review] Wings of Destiny: Falling Into the Pit of 'Meh'

Wings of Destiny is a browser based title that seems to have a lot going for it. We've been putting it through its paces in preparation for today's review. See what we discovered and then let us know about your experiences in the comments.

As said above, the aesthetics of the game are actually not too bad. There were some armors and creatures that I got a distinct Disciples II feel from, and the maps themselves are very nice to look at. However, there are certain bits that strike me as very generic. The armors and weapons present in the character creation are good examples of this. The music had some ups and downs, but for the most part it was well orchestrated (and could have been where all the money went during development). Some of the lacking points are the quality of the recording and the repetitiveness of it all.

I wish that games would stop trying to force you to buy subscriptions or cash shop, the button is there, you have to be blind not to see it, so why the constant begging and pleading to please give us money? If the game was worth it and had good items you wanted to buy you would, I won't buy some ugly worthless item just because the game is practically on its knees pleading with me to do so...

Design prettier outfits and items if you want money people!! Star Wars: The Old Republic opted to add gambling packs instead of more pretty items, is it really that hard to design and code in prettier outfits? You know we'd buy all these outfits if they looked better, we don't need gambling *sigh*.
