Few questions on POE

Hi, ive never really dabbled with this type of game. i need to know a few things as im intrigued.

Please bear in mind ive never played something like this..

 

Does it have crafting?

Can you customize your character?

I notice a lot of these games have an overhead angle, can that be altered?

Does it have pvp? - YES (ignore)

Does it have trading or an economy, auctions etc?

Just a few questions knocking around in my head at the moment.

Nope thats the way its suppsoe to be.

No auction house, but person to person trade exists.

Just a few questions knocking around in my head at the moment.

You must remember this is not an MMORPG its a co-op hack and slash rpg.

• Crafting - Yes it has crafting but not a traditional form of it. It involves upgrading whites to blues to yellows and rearranging already innate properties/sockets/links on items.
• Customizing - Yes but depends on what type of customization you are looking for. Character build is VERY customizable. There is nothing preset you build the character you want as far as stats, offense, defense, and abilities. Character look on the other thand is not very customizable yet. Very few armor/weapon sets looks since its from a small company and still in beta. There are some microtransactions that can help a bit on this problem but not much.
• Camera Angle - Its the overhead view that all these style games use. its not alterable other than zooming in to see your character.
• PVP - you already have an answer to.
• Economy - Yeah it has an economy since there is a global chat and global trade chat. People auction and trade in chat all the time as well as GGG's trade forum. That being said it is still a bit of a pain in the ass. I"m not a fan of an auction house in these style games but their current implementation, it does not make it easy to buy or sell much unless you have pinnacle items.

So you level through as you do. What do you do at endgame?

I noticed on the website theres a competitive element in this game in terms of ladders.

Actually the crafting system is incredibly deep with any item being able to be improved upon and altered to become the best item.  Many of the best items are crafted from simple white drops that can be improved upon tremendously.

Can you customize your character?

Nope

In the sense of how it looks, no.  In the sense of picking and choosing what skills you want aboslutely YES!  The skill system is very deep for instance you can make a tank mage or a mage archer or almost whatever you can think of.

Think its what Diablo3 should have been.  And the guy that answered your questions first is so incredibly wrong in his answers that he couldn't have possibly played the game for longer than an hour or two go back and read the green text for a little better answers.
