I'm from the Uk shall I go with the EU or US version?  I've head some negative things about the EU version however as I don't play I was just wondering if it was true.

How do both the free to play versions compare price wise?

I bought Tera EU at release, played the free month. I've returned 2 weeks ago, I've been playing it now and then. I've a Veteran account. I've been playing on Fraya server.

Today I've started fresh in a US server, with the US client, after creating a EnMasse account. From 16-19 (GMT+1) I saw lot's of people on the US PVE-RP server, Celestial Hills. It's seams that there's lots of EU players there and also central-south American players. I've a Standard account.

With my 100/10 fiber optic connection I get a very low ping 30-80 on EU server and 130-180 on the US one. Loging from Spain.

US Tera has patches and updates earlier. More world events, like the one starting tomorrow. I've heard also that the US service is better. Prices on the cash shop and auction house are less expensive.

I'll give it a try for a couple of days, but I get the feeling that even on US servers you can find players online at EU playing hours. The only thing is holding me back is loosing the Veteran status, because the free account has some restrictions regarding the chat channels... Today, on the US server I couldn't use the general channel because I was below lvl 19 and half of the whispers group messages were lost...

Anyway, I hope this helps you decide. Here's the account charts for both EU and US Tera:

If you drop by Celestial Hills, send me a PM.
