Early Ming Dynasty, question

So like this? Emperor breaks line of succession, skips over his son the prince, and gives the thrown to his grandson, the princes son.

The prince returns, while the young emperor opens a box left by the emperor incase of emegency. The box contains a plan of escape, 10 gold igots, a sword, and a razor to shave his head. The young emperor shaves his head and escapes as a monk. He torches the palace and his family as he goes.

Is this where the whole tibetan monk, Dalai Lama spiritual leader,  and monks burning themselves in protest comes from?

Tibet has been the target of invasion so many times in history.

The most recent expulsion of the Dalai Lama was after WW2 though. around 1960.
