(mind you, it was in October 2011 so things could of changed)


- PvP will be optional content, players that do not wish to take part in PvP are not forced to
- "Battlefield such as a coliseum" planned, where you know who will be your opponent and team 
- "Free roaming PvP area where you can fight for control of various influences"
- Coliseum is more for casual players and to try out PvP
- Thoughts about "PvP ranks"

    This is the one thing I disagree with Yoshi on in AAR they should just stick to PVE it's a Final Fantasy game after all.

    I seem to recall fighting things in Final fantasy series other then monsters, why disclude the fact that you should not be able to fight for honor or treasure against other real players?

     

    In Asheron's Call I remember quite a few events where GM's controlled one of the big baddies or goodies, and players could choose to either help or hinder both sides activily.

    Im not much for PvP either however Im not against it being optional witch both forms will be.

    It doesn't really bother me but I hope they focus the classes more to be balanced around PVE and not so much around PVP as in most cases.

    Now that will be interesting to see how they balance the PvP with the PvE.

    Another possible concern for PvP is that, due to the armoury system, it will devolve into a single optimal PvP build being used by everyone. I can't forsee tanks and healers being particularly useful in a PvP environment...
