MMORPG.com has been around for a long time, alot of us posters have been here for a long time, games come and go, flame wars ignite and then burn themselves out, its the way of the world. Our site has had a bad rap for as long as I can remember, but that doesnt stop Game Companys and Gamers from coming to this site, and using us as a point of refrence, thats saying something.
I'm not gonna say we dont deserve the rap we get, because the Vocal minority makes it seem like we do, but they are infact the minority and not the beating heart of MMORPG.
To compare this site to 4chan is shameful, 4chan is the cesspool of the internet where Memers, Trolls, and Perverts of all walks of life can happily hang out anonymously, MMORPG doesnt condone or allow even half of the stuff that 4chaners revel in on a daily basis.
This community has always been a fairly fringe, MMO hipster one. For the longest time, there was a ton of rage against WoW for what appeared to be no other reason than it was popular. Kind of funny actually.
Uh, there's a ton of reason to hate WoW. Pretty much the only people who don't understand that are the WoW fanboys who are entirely obvious to the rest of the MMO genre.
And if by MMO hipsters you mean, the core MMO audience...

Thank you for proving MY point. If you're blind enough to believe that the ONLY reason people hate WoW is because a lot of people play it, then no amount of sense will ever penetrate the blinders you've built for yourself.
I guess some people would rather delude themselves into believing that there's a massive online community that just happens to hate every new game that comes out for no other reason than its new! They can't comprehend that, hey, maybe the MMORPG.com community isn't an organized mass dedicated to hating everything... maybe...just maybe... almost everything that has come out in a while has sucked?

Where did he mention hate? only you did that and he also said "appeared to be because it was popular" thats his opinion which he is entitled to, but you steam in and miss his point totally claiming there are "Uh, there's a ton of reason to hate WoW" there are zero reasons to hate a game, dislike yes, hate, no but you stil insult him for no apparent reason other than an agenda you are spouting on every thread you post in, proving his initial point perfectly.
