So, I pre-ordered and bought SWTOR, I played for two months and deemed it wasn't worth playing....The game was FUN but after two months, it wasn't worth any more money. So, when it went F2P I decided to give it another try, and it actually fucked up my computer, that takes some SERIOUSLY shitty programming so that it actually runs worse after all this time to patch and FIX things.

I don't know whats wrong, but anytime I install and patch and press play, my moniter fucks up and only actually works in safe mode until I do a system restore.

That's a technical issue with either probably some driver conflict with your video card or something similar.  Try removing all video drivers and directx and reinstall both.

Would that really do it? I've had similar things happen, and usually after turning off the computer it atleast lets me boot in 'normal mode' as long as I don't play the game again. This is the first game thats ever fucked it up enough to where I have to actually do a system restore to before I installed it.

Yeah that should resolve your issue.  That happened with me playing GW2, I was about a week into playing it and my driver somehow crashed.  So I just had to reinstall the driver and I haven't had any problems since.

Check to make sure your anti-virus protection works with the game. Even if its on exception the anti virus can still interfere with updating or causing conflicts with video. AVG and SWTOR dont mix.

All my opinions are just that..opinions. If you like my opinions..coolness.If you dont like my opinion....I really dont care.

It sounds like an install bug, one (yet another) that has been around since launch.  And you haven't touched the game since launch.

When you try to patch the game, it doesn't fully patch (it says it does though), and when you try to run the game, it crashes.

    FIX:

Uninstall the game completely,   Delete every tag for SWTOR.  Go into your user directory.  Open every subdirectory and delete everything SWTOR related.  Do a hard-drive search for "SWTOR" and delete every file associated with it.  If it is a system file you will get a prompt (turn your sound down).  Don't worry about system files (you can't delete them while logged on).

Reload the game via disk or download.  This is one of the benefits of having the DVD-ROM because you can reload the base game fast.

(Another reason why digitial downloads suck and nobody should do them?)

Patch away .. if you notice, you will get download packs that you weren't getting before.

I had the same issue with GW 2 and DayZ when GW launched...It seemed my graphics card had stopped updating and I had to go and reinstall the drivers and an updated it...

Then when I logged into GW 2 it let me know that my new update was causing crashes and I had to update to a specific beta update...

So it could be both a driver issue and a compatibility issue with the current version of SWTOR.
